New to site. Have read a lot of information on this forum. Bought a 2004 DTR Marauder used with 30K miles. Have had it a couple years now - has 50K miles on it now. From what I have read on this site, it has just about everything on it. ( disc changer, spoiler, moon roof, etc.). Plan on installing a chip and CAI on it and leaving the rest stock. Have already changed to synthetic oil in the engine and transmission. Have the differential to still do. Gets consistent 24/25 mpg on highway. Great car.

Had a question about the air suspension. The compressor has been noisy for some time, and it has now quit. The rear of the car has bottomed out and rides rough. Parking it. Just where do I find parts for this problem? It this going to be a dealer fix or is there parts out there that can be purchased?

Same problem here. However mine stopped working at the same time that I noticed my front right shock was blown/leaking. I just got it back from the dealer today after replacing both front shocks hoping the car would "sense" a normal ride height again and kick on the compressor but no such luck. I haven't heard the compressor cycle at all since all this started. Now I think I have the same issue...either a dead compressor or a control module. I'm not getting any kind of warning lights on the dash though, so whatever the problem is the cpu isn't picking up on it. Any thoughts???

When did the light come on? Did you check the switch in the trunk?

USN Lifer, make sure the air suspension switch in the trunk is on.

Trust me, that was the first thing I checked a few weeks ago after taking it in for an oil change...tonight I shut the car off, turned the switched off, started the car, shut it down, turned the switch back on and restarted the engine...nothing.

Check the fuse. If it was abnormally noisy before the failure it probably ain't the fuse but wishful thinking? There is a thread on here somewhere that describes bypassing the controller, maybe find that one for confirmation that the compressor is bad.

I believe Arvin Meritor (sp?) is a good, reliable, inexpensive source for a replacement compressor. Check for their online store with google.
