Good morning, everyone! I'm joining after the great hospitality afforded in the MercuryMarauder.net tent at the Carlisle All-Ford Nationals this year. For those of you who were there, I was the tall guy with the Beige Crown Vic complaining about my lousy dyno numbers.

Name is Kurt.

Hey there. You guys, take it easy on me 'cause I just have a two-valve, haha. Can't afford a Marauder although I really like them.

This is your second post and you are already making demands?! You'll fit right in here. :D There are a few CV's on this site, someone has a black one I'd like to have, has a 4.6 badge in the grill. Anyway, welcome aboard:beer:

Mmmmm...Pabst...drank it all weekend on the fairgrounds lol

Welcome Kurt!

Saw the car, but missed your visit.
Listen man...I realize you are 21, but with a stable income and a roof, you can find a pretty cheap Marauder out there.
You should still feel fortunate. That 71 of yours is far nicer than most young men had at that age.

Hey Kurt I see you made it over. We chatted there at the end when Drock rolled up with that sweet Grand Marq. Welcome aboard.

These are the "model codes" designated by Ford. They are found in the VIN, numbers 5, 6, and 7. For 1992 and newer Panthers, the following table provides a comparison of major differences.

Welcome aboard, Kurt. Enjoy the site.

BTW, did you wish that your P73 had the updated 16" steelies?

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone. CBT, a P73 is a base model Vic. Yeah, my steelies suck. And it's Adam's fault my door got chipped. :D

It seems to have the P71 aesthetic treatment though. Wish I had one for a daily.

Not true.
You parked in a "no parking" zone at Mr. Rogers' new, permanent apartment (aka mausoleum) and opened your door right into the steps leading up to the front door!

No! You left out the part that says I was only in THAT spot because I was in line with everyone else! You were leading, stopped, so did everyone else, and THAT's why I hit the damn stairs.

Anyway, thanks guys for the warm welcome. I was on vacation the last three days and had no internet. It was horrible!

p72 iirc is extended wheelbase....
or is that p70....

either way... ..... p71s are only interceptors. There are quite a few small differences.

Quasar3210

P70 is the Long wheelbase.
