This thing looks PRETTY easy in regards to install, but I know I'm gonna need a hand or two. Anyone wanna help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Bring it to Dayton, you do my yard work, cook on the grill, I'll do the Vortech.

It's not hard to do. I assume it is a complete kit. If you aren't experienced at mods & wrenching give yourself a few days of downtime. It you're experienced and everything is there it can easily be done in a day.

Take your time. Check your nuts and bolts, then check'em again. Goes for hose clamps too.

Just a little tidbit. My Novi 1200 (vortec) kit had a belt that was a little too long.

The way you can tell is that the belt tensioner has bottomed out. If so then you may need to buy a shorter belt: P/N K061099. I believe the brand is Gates.

Is this a new kit or a used kit?

Is the kit complete?

Are you sure?

I am speaking from experience..... that is why I ask.

It's the kit out of Blackmobile: http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=53800

So, I'd say it's all there.

That works. I know, that when purchased new from a "Vendor", many parts were missing, on back order, or just "forgot" to be shipped.

Havn't done one on a Marauder yet but over the years have done them on carb type muscle cars. But nothing worse than working on a car somewhere and finding out you don't have all the tools needed and have to stop and make a run to get some.

Waterbury, CT here.

Me and my friend did mine. It wasn't too hard, it took longer to get the other parts I was missing. Let me know when you want it in and I'll gladly help. I had a *new* kit and I was missing pieces......I think I still have some spare parts if you don't got any.

Kit is all installed folks. Friend and I banged it out in about 12 hours in a course of three days. Simple really, just worked slow, and checked, and re-checked everything. Big props to Reinhart for selling this super easy to install kit.

I'm glad your install went nice and smooth. Did you go with a NOIC kit or A2A?

FormulaMarauder
06-25-2009, 06:59 PM
A2A. It's Blackmobiles kit. He went 12.2 in the quarter and let off the gas after 3/4 way down cause his tranny gave up. I also have full Kooks and exaust and 4.10's, which he doesn't. Hoping for high 11's. :banana2: Getting a dyno tune Wednesday.:D I'll keep everyone appraised of the progress.

Post some photos of the bad boy supercharger installation. If you have the time a dyno post after the tune would be great. Happy motoring.

Negative. Some guys got it already and are reporting garbage numbers. May be better on a blown car that is serious about low times and racing, but thats not me. I just want a blower to have some good times around the street and the track. I'm not looking to shave every tenth. Especially at around $650.:shake:

The car is at J and M Motorsports as I type this. They advised that my BOV was complete garbage, so they ordered up a high quality unit. They also didn't suggest full 12psi with stock block/rods. So they convinced me to smack the 9psi pulley back on. Good idea, i think. Dyno tune tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to pick her up.
