Well, last week I had ordered a full set of Falken Z/01 tires, 235/50 for the front, 255/55 for the rear. Tuesday I received the fronts, and I've been wondering where the rears went to. Called Tires-easy.com to find out what's going on. They said they'll look into and for me to call back. I called this morning, and lucky me, UPS lost them. So they're sending me another pair at no additional cost. *sigh* And I was hoping to have them all installed by now.

How the hell do you lose giant truck tires?
Delivery dude "missplaced" them onto his rims, that's how.

I assume it's the same way they lost a refrigerator. I don't know what that method is, but it seems to work.

Now how's this for weird... The replacements for the ones UPS lost came in last Friday... and so did the ones lost by UPS. So at the moment I have a stack of six tires waiting for me. I'm having the new Falkens installed on Tuesday. With any luck Tires-Easy won't pay any attention and I'll have a spare set of rear tires.

ledzilla,
Do the right thing and contact Tires-Easy and give them the option of how they want to handle it. Establish a relationship with a tire dealer and it will pay BIG dividends down the road -- ask me how I know this -- 2 MMs and I get all my tires from Disc Tire Direct but with Due Diligence on my part shopping the competition.

Yeah, you're probably right. These things usually come back to bite me in the ass anyway. Besides, I have nowhere to keep such large tires for an unknown amount of time. I'll try and take care of this during the week.

Kinda sounds like what happened to me 2 years ago I ordered 4 tires from tire rack. The fronts came with in a few days and the rears were delivered by UPS to a Business in Miami and they signed for it. 3 days later tire rack called me back and told me they were sending 2 more tires too me and they couldn't get ahold of the people who signed for the other tires.

Definitely call them back on the tires, UPS will be able to prove they delivered them to you, and you will be double screwed. I'm sure the tire company has to go through a standard claims process with UPS, and I'm pretty sure that won't be overlooked.

I've already sent an e-mail to their customer support department letting them know they all came in and requested info on how to send them back. No response yet, but they'll get back to me on it.

Yep...UPS will figure out what happened pretty quick.

I've done this before and had the appreciative companies tell me to:
"Just keep the extra __________, it will cost too much to return and restock it!"
(I seriously doubt that they will do it for a pair of tires though.)

Well, I went honest, and a return call tag was issued. The extra tires have no doubt returned to the merchant by now.
