new feature today. with headlights off, driving down the road, the sensor that wants to turn on the headlights on cloudy/rainy days, keeps clicking. If I turn the headlights on, no problem. No big deal for short term, but my question is, since we are heading on vacation Sunday, will this be a problem for us??? Car runs great, no check engine light.

Shouldn't be an issue.

Why would you have a check engine light on for the headlights???? :dunno:

Never heard any "clicking" noise from my car.

Maybe my exhaust is too loud. :D

The photocell sensor for the automatic headlamps is in the small 'bubble' on top of the dash, along with the PATS indicator/LED.

Are you sure the sensor is clicking? :wtf: - or do you hear it close to the gas pedal? (In which case, the LCM relay(s) tripping is most likely making the noise)

Do you notice the dash illumination and/or headlamps come on along with the click? If so it's probably from a faulty wiper motor assembly. The wiper control module functions were integrated to the wiper motor for 2003+ panthers and they seem to go bad within a few years (normally due to corrosion / poor cowl drainage) if stored outside. When this happens it can also cause erratic headlamp operation as '03+ have wiper-activated headlamps standard (motor/WCM sends signal to LCM on autolamp delay/sensor circuit)

I have this noise, It constantly clicks and I know its from the LCM but none of my lights flicker anywhere on the car. Anyway to fix this without replacing it?

I hear the click sound when my lights are on AUTO and when the LCM turns them on or off. If I manually turn the lights on by the control no click is heard.
