This is a new one for me... Went outside about 30 minutes ago to get something out of the car when I noticed a long white streak across my front and rear drivers side doors. Appears to be chewing gum or something like it. I tried to pry it off with my fingers but it just gets worse. I keep a ton of cleaning items in the trunk but everything seems to just smudge it. I'm considering letting it dry so that it might peel off easier... Any other ideas?

Quit throwing your chewing gum out the window, (jk) I've run over chewing gum on the hot street, and it is a mess. Ice will chill it enough to peel most of it off, keep a few ice cubes in a glass if they start to melt. Use some goo gone, or goof off to remove the rest. You will need to wax, and polish the areas where the chemical was.

Ice it down, peel it off, use Goof Off or Goo Gone to remove what's left & polish the area.

Burn too much tire rubber, and it looks white on the quarter panal.

It is obvious, that because rubber sap is white, that the smoke coming off your tires is just all the additives.
