Based on the approximate number of 16.5 millions vehicles sold in the U.S. in 2003, your odds of buying a Blue Marauder in 2003 were about 1 in 50,459. You damn right I'm bored today.

The correct answer is 1 in 1. Odds are random outcome. Buying a 2003 blue Marauder was an intentional action. Only one blue on showroom and I bought it.

Tomorrow's statistical analysis will be the difference between correlation and regression.

Those odds aren't too bad when you consider the odds of me buying a Honda vehicle at "0" in 1,349,847 in 2003. :D

American Honda sales rose 8.2 percent in 2003 to a new all-time record of 1,349,847 Honda and Acura cars and light trucks. Both the Honda and Acura brands also recorded all-time record results for the year on the strength of popular products including the Honda Pilot and Element, Acura MDX and the all-new TSX and TL performance luxury sedans.

2003 sales highlights:

All-time record American Honda total vehicle sales of 1,349,847, up 8.2 percent;
All-time record American Honda light truck sales of 529,718, up 29.4 percent;
All-time record Honda Division total vehicle sales of 1,178,929, up 8.9 percent;
All-time record Honda Division light truck sales of 472,437, up 32.6 percent;
All-time record Acura Division total vehicle sales of 170,918, up 3.2 percent;
All-time record sales of Odyssey (154,063), Pilot (106,9170)
and Element (67,478)

I can't believe that they made and actually SOLD six times as many Honda Elements in 2003 than the total number of '03-'04 Marauders. :rolleyes:

Would that not mean only a total of 1 was available then? Odds are not a random outcome, statistics are. If you took a dart and threw it at a dart board 100 times aiming for 20's, the odds of you hitting a 20 never change, it is always 50/50, you either hit it or miss it. Statistically, you may hit it 12 out of those 100 throws, and if you throw say 10 sets of 100, your stats will change at random. Or, maybe your odds would be 327 out of 50,459? :rolleyes:

WTF did he say in a DBP thread? You pot stirrin'....bless your heart.

I prefer your posts about VW's or space-time theoretical hypothesis, seriously. I'd actually read your position on atomic fusion, fission or just plain old string theories or multiple dimensions.

If I find that the "p" value is low then I must reject the null hypothesis.
