need help

1-overhead console
2-factory cd cassete radio player
3-the other day started my car and tried tu push the button of shifter to go home and i could not do it,pls help me with this problem also

I don't think the short overhead console came into being until the factory installed sunroof came in 2004, but I could be wrong.

Welcome to the site.
The brake has to be pressed to take the shifter out of park, the signal comes from the brake light circuit. If the fuse is blown for the brake lights it also won't work, so check the brake lights out... Emergency procedure, turn the key just a little bit (not all the way to the "run" position) and the shifter can be put into neutral. Then start the car and you can drive it like normal. Until you put it in park again.
