New guy, hope to own a Marauder soon

Hello everyone. My name is Bill, I live in Fair Hill, Maryland. I'm 31. I don't own a Marauder yet, but I'm working on that. I couldn't afford one when they were new, but I'm seeing plenty of nice ones out there for good prices, so I hope to pick one up soon. For now, I've got a pos 04 Chevy Blazer Xtreme for my daily driver and my weekend toy is a 55 Chevy 210 2 door sedan. Before you lynch me, I've owned plenty of Fords :D. I've had 86, 93 and 95 Mustang GT's, a 93 5.0 T-Bird, a 1980 F-150 custom, a 69 Cougar and a 64 Falcon Sprint hardtop.

You just missed a pretty big gathering of 15 MMs at the Safford L-M car show last weekend in Burtonsville/Silver Spring. You are not too far from there. At least you could hav gotten an idea of what to look for. ;)

wicked looking 55! Keep an eye on the for sale forums here and you can get a good idea of what a good price would be and you can also learn a lot about what to look for in a used MM

thanks guys, i do plan to snoop around and gather as much info as i can before a purchase. i'm somewhat knowledgeable of them already, but i could definitely learn more. i've driven a few, so i know what they're like. i owned a 05 magnum r/t and i was considering a charger r/t, but there is just something about the marauders i have always liked. very unassuming and the average person wouldn't even know what it's capable of.

you know, i barely ever see a marauder around here and when i do, it's never in the 55. so, i've never raced on in it. :)

maybe. definitely rims (tasteful, not big ridiculous things) and tint. then maybe some exhaust work and a set of 4.10's. i had several mustangs, so i'm familiar with the 4.6 engine, although not in the lincolns per se.

There was a fella at the Fabulous Fords Forever car show last year at KnottsBerry Farm in LA with a radical blown black MarkVIII. Claimed it was running 11's. He came over and hung with the Marauders for a bit. Its great to be different eh?

i have pretty much always liked big, v8 powered cars. i had a 93 5.0 t-bird years ago and more recently a 05 dodge magnum r/t. the only turnoff in my eyes to these cars is the price. i mean, looks, power, decent handling, decent gas mileage for what they are, comfort, what more could you ask? it seems like the best cars america has made in recent years have been limited production runs or got killed off.
