I've decided to go with these mufflers and some cheap delete tips like these:

http://www.mandrelbendingsolutions.co m/servlet/the-589/rolled/Detail

Although, I'm not set on buying from that site, if someone knows of a cheaper deal I will look into it. The 2525's are sold out on the manufacturer's site however, so where have you guys been picking them up from?

I'm assuming all of these pieces will work well together and be an easy fit for the Marauder?

I'll wait till Monday in case someone can link me to a better deal, if not I'll pull the trigger then. Can't wait!

I have heard a lot of the Charger R/T and SRT-8 go with the cat back systems sold on this site and they love them. Some complain it's a little too loud for daily driving but to each his own. The tips look pretty good at a good price.
I got the Magnaflow tips - http://www.allmagnaflow.com/product.php?productid=632
which were 22" long and 4" diameter, they also sell a 3.5" version
I also run a pair of Flowmaster Series 40 Deltas which I like with the resonator delete tips.

Thanks for all of the info, guys. I ordered from Our Deals Rock, and managed to get the mufflers and the magnaflow tips (3.5") for a good price. I wanted those to begin with but was discouraged by the price at other places.

All told it was $343, shipped. They already sent me a UPS tracking number too, stuff is on the way!

Thats a really good price for mufflers and tips. My old flowmasters were $320 when I bought them brand new from the exhaust shop I usually deal with. You'll enjoy the sound no doubt and remember to have your tips extended out past your bumper by 1.2-1.5" as it will help cut down on interior cabin drone.

I just ordered a pair of Aero Turbine 2525's off eBay from cowboy 183,price with a special 8% discount eBay sent me was $219.88 and included free shipping. He has about 10 more mufflers available.
I'm hoping to have them installed bright and early next Saturday morning by the same shop that sold and installed my Magnaflow delete tips for $129 last year.I'm going to look into modding my h pipe while I'm there too,(and possibly my rear cats may mysteriously vanish). If I can I'll get some pics.

Mine should be here tomorrow!

I will be sure to ask about extending the tips, but what about the mufflers? Any special instructions I should tell the shop? I remember hearing people say something about using the stock mounting brackets on flowmasters to reduce resonance, does that apply to the Aeros as well?

I now officially own a muscle car! WOW :D

My friends and family think I'm crazy but it's like a whole new vehicle to me. Some customers at the muffler shop even came over and commented on how great it sounds.

The only problem now, is the louder sound just makes the sluggish and downright odd shift points more noticeable... good thing a tune is next on the list!

Have your shop delete the H-pipe and substitute it w/ an X-pipe. you'll enjoy more low and mid-range torque.

Actually an H-pipe delivers better low-mid range sound where as an X-pipe is mid-high end.

I got the Aero Turbines today but darn it,Saturday is the 4th of July and that's when I wanted to get them installed.Looks like I'll have to wait a while longer unless I get off early one day this week.(fat chance).
I'll have to get one of my video cameras out and video the old system and then the new set up,then maybe someday I'll figure out how to get it into my computer and maybe even onto you tube.

I've been making up excuses to drive all day, I'm still blown away by the sound, BUT I do have to take it back to the shop later this week.

After going over a few bumps I heard a metallic clink from mufflers. Turns out my passenger side exhaust pipe is now too close to my sway bar and they are bumping together. Hopefully, the muffler shop will honor their work and I won't have to go all, "Get me your supervisor!" on them. :mad2:

Actually an H-pipe delivers better low-mid range sound where as an X-pipe is mid-high end.

I read an article about H vs X pipes and it said the X-pipe will offer better torque. I don't know about the sound differences so I'll take your word for it.

As a representative for Ourdealsrock I would like to offer a special because we arent going to let some nobody out sell us in Aero. I will do (2) Aero 2525's shipped for $175 for this forum only. 888.368.9430 ( I have 49 instock ) I also am willing to run a special for any Mangnaflow or Flowmaster parts that you commonly use. Give me some part #'s and I will let you know what I can do.

In reguards to the x-pipe vs. H-pipe we have always had better luck with making more power if you use a baffled style muffler ( Flowmaster, Flo~Pro ) with a H-pipe because both the muffler and the pipe use pulses to work. The X-pipe works well with straight thru designs ( Magnaflow, Dynomax, Borla, Aero ). So to answer your questions of what makes more power the X-pipe or H-pipe it all depends on the the rest of the exhaust. They both can be just as effective.

after further modifying my exhaust, with headers and one cat deleted, these mufflers are WAYYYYYYY to loud and really dont sound that good. extremly rasy and clappy sounding. im pretty bummed really, i loved how it sounded b4 the headers.

so general rule of thumb. if all your putting on is mufflers and delete tips, these mufflers sound great. if your doing headers a removing a set of cats, stay way.

Glad you posted this. Know it has to be even worse with the start up varooom and driving at night. My installer was very, very, very hesitant about installing mine when i got them back in 06, because he figured they would be to loud. But with the stock mani's and 4 cats i knew they wouldn't after having had both Flows and Magnas they would be just right and he was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't planning on getting headers, but at least deleting rear cats, but now...don't know about the cats.

As was stated they definately sound better with a tranny tune.

ImpalaSlayer, good luck with whatever modification you decide to do. You might have to get there resonators installed.

Yes I did remove them and the exhaust note sounded a little bit more throatier, not annoying loud or anything. It's definitely something you will notice and the better mid-high end acceleration difference I could notice also. Shaved almost a tenth off my 1/4 mile time from 14.34 to 14.25, ran at the same track with weather being almost the same.

Anyone have advice on another brand of mufflers to quite everything down?

I have kooks long tubes, no cats, 2.5" x pipe to stock mufflers and tailpipes, I need to quiet it down a bit...

I also think I have either a header gasket leak or collector gasket leak... Any tips on better gaskets??

From what I've seen, the Dynomax Super Turbos will quiet it down quite a bit and still flow better than factory. RR Suzki has them with LT's sounds good.

Bonus: they have a "safe and sound" guarantee.. if you hate it return them for your money back in under 90 days.

I would do 2 magnapaks or Aero ar25's right after the x-pipe and 18" magnaflows for mufflers. There are 2 styles of collector gaskets that seal very well and are thick for long life that we stock. Metallic and fiber.

I have a 04 CV with a MM motor & novi s/c...

From the mufflers back the exhaust is stock, I have stock resonators that are part of the tail pipe about 18" before the pipes clear the rear bumper... What do they do?

I think something in one of them or the oem mufflers may be broken inside, I am gettign a loud rattle at 2200-2500 RPM...

So these mufflers are 2.5" in and out, correct? Will they fit to an aftermarket x-pipe? I bought an x-pipe only from a member that bought the kooks kit but didnt want the x-pipe. Just want to make sure the mufflers will fit the x-pipe before I buy them. Also, I noticed a lot of people buying tips when they get these mufflers. Why is that? Are the stock tips not good enough or do they not fit? Thanks for the answers.

Any good exhaust shop will be able to make the mufflers work, I have them connected to the rear section which is stock size piping. The stock tips have a resonator in them so instead of the full 3.5" being used it's less than 2" of diameter that the air has to pass through. They help tune the exhaust not and can add a little more throaty sound from my experience.

just installed the Aero's yesterday. i also deleted the resignators out of the stock tips. if you have a welder its really not that bad to take the resignators out. the Aero 2525 sound great nice rumble and look sweet when u peek under the car. the only prob i ran into was the stock mufflers are about 4"longer then the aero so you need to make up the difference. i also had to fabricate new hangers and mount them closer to the back of the car.
