A big THANK YOU to Mark Rush for todays Marauder Roundup. The hospitality was wonderful and lunch was Mmmmmmm good! Potato salad!!!! Boy that was good.:)
It was a good turnout and I met several nice folks.
A thank you also goes to Jerry Barnes of Trilogy fame for the "demo" ride. Mark, your dad enjoyed the ride also. I am sold on Trilogy. Now I have to sell the wife. Let me rephrase that. Not actually "sell" the wife, just convince her that "we" need it.

I just wanted to say thank you to Ron Rush Lincoln Mercury in Columbus Ohio for hosting a great meet. I would also like to say thank you to Jerry Barnes of Trilogy Motorsports for co-sponsering the event. It was nice to meet so many other MM enthusiast. There were 29 MM's there with every color represented. Some from Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and South Carolina. I hope that we can continue to keep these meetings going. Maybe the next one will be in the Motor City. I will try to post some pictures later. For those of you that could not make it you really missed a great event.

I just want to thank Ron and Mark Rush, from Ron Rush Lincoln/Mercury, for hosting the Columbus Marauder Round Up!!! The turn out was fantastic, seeing many of our old friends and some new friends was really nice and having some of the proceeds go to a very good charity was terrific. Oh, and the drive down with the perfect weather could not have been better.
The event was well organized, It had that feel of Jean and Bob Mathis helping out behind the scenes, so that there were a lot of activities for everyone to enjoy.
The food was great and the dealership was a very good location for the participants.
Mark told me after everyone had left, that he was amazed at how many Maauder owners showed up. He said he thought he would get about 5 Marauders. I think BigSlim said that there were 29 Marauders in attendance. Not bad for a new group of Marauder owners! Sounds like the Ohio chapter of the MM club is off with a bang!!!
I will say it one more time, This is one of the most loyal and passionate group of car owners I have ever seen!!!
Dave Popovich did a great job of helping us stay within the speed limit and its always a laugh to travel with Dave on these road trips.
It was good seeing Nathan with his Marauder S/C. Remember Nathan, try and keep it straight on the drag strip!
I don't think I have ever seen a prettier Ohio State Trooper, her name was Casey and it was very nice having her present, most of the time!
Anyway, I can't wait to see the pictures and I hope every one enjoyed the test rides. I sure did!!!
See all you fine folks at the next Round Up!

What a great day..... and to meet a great bunch of MM owners and their machines. Enjoyed meeting all of the other Ohio owners and the Michigan, Indiana and South Carolina people too. Everyone with a different passion in either leaving their toy/grocery getter/work car stock or taking their creativity and going with it. It was really neat to be able to check out all of the decals, sun roofs, bras and badges at once and get ideas on which ones I might prefer for my MM.
Thanks to everyone who made us all feel welcome and included. Thanks to Jerry Barnes, Mark & Ron Rush and the Rush Dealership for everything including the great door prizes!
Mark Rush said it best when he said what a great place America is to be and how fortunate we all were to be able to travel without government restriction.
The only government restriction I can see will be when a lot of us have to deal with our government "smokies". Wish we could get these "smokies" to see that as MM owners we're just a different type of "smokie" and some more than others....right Jerry?

MarauderDee,
You are absolutely right! I wish I could have gotten Trooper Jones to go for a test ride.
America, there's nothing better!

A big thanks to Mark and Ron for planning this get together. We had a great time meeting all the new faces and look forward to future meets. I only wish I had the time to help plan and organize these. I am at a time in my life where I am on the road weekly, and only home on the weekends. It has become difficult to manage my home and family life let alone a club in Ohio. I truly apologize to Mark and the others for not being able to get any further involved at this time. Otherwise is was a great day. My 2 year old came home sleepy and covered in grease and dirt after crawling under every Marauder to check their engines for originality. They all are "good", so he says. He is looking forward to Herschey, so make sure you are all spit shined....he'll be checking! The advantage to being 33 inches tall.....
I finally won a key chain! And I took advantage of the great deal offer of 25% off all extended warranties and picked up the 6year/75k mile package for my baby at a great price. I still wanted to leave my sig in the driveway....but stepped up to the plate and drove off politely :P
ROCK ON RUSH FOLKS...AND THANKS AGAIN!

It was a great day. Couldn't have turned out to be a nicer fall day and all the Marauders were in their glory. Thanks to Ron and Mark Rush for putting on the event and to Jerry Barnes for his participation. It was a pleasure to meet and chat with other owners and I hope we could put together a Michigan Club in the near future.
I noticed quite a few cars out on Morse Rd making quick turns to stop in to see our cars. I would think with the participation and enthusiasm by owners and the interest of non-owners at Ennis and Columbus that perhaps Mercury needs to reconsider it's promotion of the Marauder. It's nice to be unique, but the more ther merrier.

 I feel your pain man! My wife found one of Trilogy's color flyers folded up in my pocket one day while she was doing laundry. She unfolded it, looked at it,... then she held it up and said "no!" :alone:
Maybe when I hit the Lotto!:D

Petrograde, try this; Honey if you really loved me you'd go out and buy me one. Doesn't always work, some times you end up paying for half of it yourself.

All I can say about the Columbus roundup was,, WOW! Thanks to Jerry and Mark Rush. What a pleasure it was to meet people with the same obsession that I have. I doubt that there are ANY groups of owners that are as passionate about their cars as we are. I am sure glad I didn't sign up for that 12 step program. You know,, Hi, my name is ___ and I am a Marauder-holic.
Mark Rush did a great job and my hat is off to him. His S/M was well informed and answered any and all warranty related questions ie: mods, chipping, etc. Everyone there got door prizes as well(Cruz made out like a bandit) All in all, a GREAT experience for all involved. If you can make it to one of these,, GO!!!
Of course, thanks again to Logan for the site, without which, I am sure we would all be lost in the "desert" of misinformation.
To all my new friends,, hope to see you in person again real soon

Sounds like "a good time was had by all"...I've said it before...it must be GREAT to have an ACTUAL L/M Dealer in your area the "gets it". Rush Lincoln Mercury has "gotten it" for well over a year and a half now.

LOL TAF! Barry does remind me a little of Spicoli. I wouldn't have been surprised if a pizza showed up for him while Steve Babcock was talking during the banquet!
