Just wanted to say hi to everyone here, names Jay and i originally hail from London England, but have been living in the great state of Tennessee for about 23 years now. Currently an owner of a 86 Mercury Capri and now got a really bad itch to own a Marauder. I've got my eye on one just trying to work the details out and see how it goes. Hope to be a member real soon and hopefully you guys will have some get togethers here in the south sometime soon. Jay:beer:

Now's a good time to buy a big American saloon with a powerful V8 under the bonnet and a great big boot to stuff lots of bodies in. Good luck to you on getting a nice one.

Get your spanners handy too cause you're gonna be doing some mods to it and probably going to be hitting some auto jumbles too. Oh,and don't worry there ain't a single Lucas part on a Marauder.

Sorry,i couldn't resist it,I worked for Beck Arnley Foreign Car Parts for years and used to pick up a lot of parts at the Lucas Warehouse in Chicago.Plus my brother in law had an MG DT and an Austin Healy 100 and had a lot of friends with Triumphs and BSA's.
My cousin's Brit husband told me why the Brits drink warm beer,Lucas refrigerators, lol.
Truth be told I'd love to have a new Aston Martin (I've heard they refer to them as lorries over there) or a Bentley Brooklands. No Rolls Royce though,Rolls are chauffered cars and more about showing off you've got big$,Bentley's are for drivers.
Bentley Brooklands 6.75 liter V8,550HP,774 LBFT torque, more than ANY other V8 in the world,16.5" front and 14" carbon fiber rotors.
Damn right I want one.
Check it out,http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/14/very-first-drive-2009-bentley-brooklands/

Yeah those aston's are as big as lorries compared to the roads they have to be driven on, usually often those people are referred as "toffee nosed" lol. But you having one, i wouldnt say your toffee nosed by any stretch, especially after the warm welcome you gave me.

Welcome.

Having had an 86 Mustang, I can tell you the Marauder has all the power or can have, depending what you have done to the Capri, as the Capri. But keep the Capri for hauling stuff. If it is a Hatch you will need it for moving stuff. I really miss my folding back seats sometimes. Had rust not taken hold of my Mustang I would have kept it. As it is, I don't miss it, not unless I having something to move that doesn't fit through a Marauder door.

Anyhow get a Marauder they are great.

Welcome to the club and happy Marauder hunting. I purchased my Marauder in April and drove it through your city of Savannah a month later to visit my brother who lives in Pulaski. I enjoyed that drive on Hiway 64 from Memphis to Pulaski through all the small towns. Next time I will warn you I'm coming through and hopefully you will have your car by then.
