The Military Vehicle Preservation Assoc, as part of it's mission to honor our countries Military vehicle history is recreating the famous 1919 US Army's Military Transportation Corps Transcontinental Convoy -along the famous Lincoln Highway (route 30)
The Convoy is running from Washington DC (leaving June 13) to San Fran est arrival is July 8 Th.
Is scheduled in Chicago Heights IL at 9:30AM June 20th! Over 150 trucks etc!

Seen some of them. Don't know what they were doing in pa. But it was last week. A ton of them. Escorted by state police motorcycle cops. Pretty cool

Just saw that it said route 30. That I'd where I saw them. Route 30 in greensburg.

I dont need any more historic military vehicles; Im so old I actually had to maintain gasoline only (!) powered M-35 duece and a halfs and M-38 Jeeps when I was in the Navy! I was the active duty mechanic assigned to a Mobile Inshore Undersea Warfare reserve unit. We used to load all that stuff up on C-141's and sleep in the sand for weeks at beautiful places like Camp Pendleton and Morehead City.
