I hope the bulk of the Camaro owners ditch the plastic engine cover. When I look in the engine compartment I would like to see an engine! Also the single hood lift sucks. Looks like a bandaid to a design problem. I like his interior. Most of the ones I've seen so far have the plastic strip along the dash the same color as the dash. The red really sets it off.

Very nice for a chevy.

I like the interior as well. THose guages and the controls are awesome looking. I wonder how user friendly they are?

The 5.7's on the R/Ts do. The 6.1's on the SRT's do not.

Hi DONNIE!!!

I saw your post and saw your new car as well.

Much nicer than than the truck. Very cool!

A neighbor of mine just brought home a blue challenger r/t with a hemi and it has plastic.
I have not seen a 6.1 yet.

I suggested removing the covers but he won't fuss with the car at all.

He was also less than impressed with my "Here hemi hemi hemi " sticker lol.

I agree, this plastic engine cover looks is not appealing to me at all!!! My wifes Charger Daytona had a black and orange platic cover over the Hemi...I didnt like it much either

Well have them made out of Carbon fiber, and sell them your selves. I am sure R&D amd a minimum prodction will only be 50K for a car that is no longer in production, consider the fact Mercury never even ran comercials on the Marauder. To each his own the car still makes over 400 to the tires with a manual trans. And it is a two door. I like both cars.

The Challenger looks pretty good, the Camaro, er, not so much.

It's a very nice car Dennis, thanks for posting the pictures of it. I like the extra set of gauges, same spot as the Marauder. It doesn't look like it has a lot of headroom. Think a 6'5" guy like me would fit (and be able to see?)

Anyone know about the tires? Pirellis the same size as ours?

Saw a "SS" 2010 camaro on sunday at a car meet and the owner tried to tell me it came with a Z06 motor  :bs:

He also said he worked for GM and got the car for $37,000.
But he didn't know what was included in his "SS" package.

Thanks for posting, Dennis. Can't wait until you post your acessment of it, once it's off the dyno.
According to Car and Driver, it's an awsome car, and sooner or later we'll learn more about 'em.
The guages and pod are cool.....I wonder if they, unlike the Marauder ones, actually do anything. :D

I've seen some 5.7 owners who remove the cover. Some like to paint the covers, meh. The 6.1 has a cover over the COP's on the valve cover which looks a lot better than the 5.7 imo. Even then some 6.1l owners remove them.

Steve Saleen decided to keep the covers on his SMS Challenger kit, which I think looks pretty awesome:

If I had to use that radio everyday I would stab myself.... The interior looks like Little Tikes designed it.

The gauges on the center console are WAY too close to the shifter and make the Marauders actually look useful.

Vortech that sucker!!!!

I do not think Vortech has a kit, I believe Pro Charger does, and there may be a twin screw. I also know there is a twin Turbo kit in the works, regardless as to whether you like the car, it still is impressive, I my self think nothing of Dodge, I still talk to many Police Officers, and they hate the ride of the Dodge and miss the CV, but there is no comparison to the speed and acceleration of the Dodge over the CV. Sales of Dodge as well as GM are not as strong as Ford because Ford never asked for bail out money the other two being now owned by our Government are offering 4500 trade in on a 1938 Zeppelin even if you push it in the car lot, I respect any ones choice of car, it is there money, many people criticized the Marauder when it came back, they would have a tough time posting that here, as any one would posting some of the things said here on the Camaro web site. But that is any ones right to express there opinion with in reason.

Dennis, it's a great car and I am sure you'll have a lot of fun working with it in your shop.

Magnusun has a supercharger kit for the 2010 Camaro:

http://www.hennesseyperformance.com/images/Pic2.php?Item_ID=373

This is the kit that Lingenfelter and Hennessey are basing their (staggeringly expensive) supercharger installs on.

As far as comparisons car to car, this is subjective. I love my Challenger, but I admire Shelby's and Camaros, and almost bought a GT500 were it not that I fit better in the Challenger. There are going to be some awesome tuned, blown, stroked Camaros out there.
