Anyone know where I can get some new ones or know the size/thread of the bolts? I have an Art Carr deep trans pan and want to replace the ones that came with it since their rusty. I would prefer stainless steel bolts.
I always get the specialty stuff from Grainger.

Chris,
I bought my stainless steel allenhead bolts from Leonard Jed Co. in Baltimore.
I'll look up what size they were (metric I'm pretty sure) tonight.

Thanks Joe, I remember you told me to get some a while back but it really wasn't that important to me at the time but I will be going to drop the pan soon to do some stuff and figured a good time to change them.

Home depot:)
Yeah I know that much lol, but don't know the bolt size or thread size, if you have a part number that would be helpful.

Take out one, bring it with. Then find the nut, then match them.
I got mine at Ace Hardware (national chain).
I bought all they had I think I was (2) bolts short.
CLICK MY PML PAN LINK (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=15 469&stc=1&thumb=0&d=1240109379) TO SEE THEM. Stainless FTW.

I will have to look that one up. I used a hex head bolt that was SS. Never mind it was not hex head.

They look like this in stainless.

Go to ace hardware. The stainless metric socket head screws(allen head) are usually kept in the midwest fastners specialty boxes.

Schweet. Does that pan reduce ground clearance or is something else hanging lower than it?

I haven't had any issues with mine. I've even mounted several curbs in the MM, not fast or anything for parking reason or my bay door driveway being block by an idiot.

My PML pan is aluminum and does hang down 1/2 inch lower than a factory pan. So it's not major, but it is 1/2 inch closer to the ground. I like the PML as the drain plug is on the SIDE not the lowest part of the bottom.
