hey folks... ive clicked the 85K mile marker.. and ive noticed.. when i apply brakes.. theirs a cracking noise from my front end..... like theirs a loose bolt somewhere.. i put it on ramps and laid under it (being drunk and stupid) and tried to look for "movemement" but everything looks SOLID.....

steering wheel is loose, and making the well known "chirping" noise inside the vehicle.. ive had my entire front end replaced already

tie rods, ball joints, upper control arm, rack.... and... if i didnt list it.. im sure it was done...

but, lower control arm (if their is one, i assume) was not changed.. the large aluminum thing....

Just had an 04' Vic, in service car today with broken lower control arm bushings, made the same noises, you may want to look there first. The new cars have steel lower control arms and revised bushings....

any idea on the repair costs.... so, that would cause my steering wheel to also be loose... and the wheel to often never be straight?

any side effects i should look for? this damage causing other damage?..

One damage will always cause other damage.

Yeah, if your LCA bushings are shot your steering will be all over the road. The control arms will be able to walk around independent of your steering inpunt.

I would say check the cast and or camber bolts...this will cause your steering wheel to be off center but not loose.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!! was drivers linkage.... a small linkage was bent... causing the squeak... plus.. my steering shaft was worn.. on why my front end had so much play... so that was replaced.... so, after 750$ from ford... 200$ rental car.. and 200$ for new tires.. my marauder is brand new... and I LOVE IT EVEN MORE......

check out 255/50/18 tires from NEXEN.... i put some nexen ROADAINS on the front and back (both same size... boo hoo.. but it was cheaper... actually rides nicer since theirs more cushion) check out that tire folks, at least for your backs..... they have 460 treadwear... and ive had extreme goodluck with them... ultra quiet... ultra heavy duty..

turns out, problem came back.... and the subframe was bent from my accident.... he "compensated" it to make it not bind up.... but, eather 1,000$ or deal with the squeek...

but, it seems to be running pretty fair now... no noise.. steering tight as a school girl.

Your insurance company should have the shop that worked on your car repair the bent subframe or they should pay to have someone repair it,it was supposed to be fixed to like new.

Hmmm....so I have an '04 and mine has been doing the same now for a few weeks. When I apply the brakes is sounds like a creeky old wagon. I was hit in the rear a couple of weeks ago. But it seemed like a little bump and no damage was visable. Could that be the sub frame!? No.....

Also, mine sounds like its coming from the back.
