I bought a 2001 CVPI driveshaft from a u pull it junkyard, thinking it was an MMX shaft. Well I goofed on the year, the MMX shaft would have been 2000. This shaft I have is just the orange stripe, regular aluminum shaft. It is stamped POLICE. This shaft is the same as a marauder shaft except that the CVPI does not use a vibration damper on the slip yoke like MM. This shaft is complete and includes the front and rear yokes. U joints seem fine but I would replace them.

$25 for the shaft, not sure why anyone would want it but what the heck

Some 2001 CVPI's came factory with 3.55's if they did they have the special MMX shaft. $25 is a great deal for an aluminum shaft. Sell it on crownvic.net (you can easily get $100 for it)

It's definitely not the MMX shaft, I checked the color code. I stay off CVnet because any time I read posts over there I wanted to make snide remarks so I find it best just to keep m' mouth shut.
