yeah they do, I only use mine for the CD adapter. Cassette tapes are one audio format that has zero advantages. Real analog tape has advantages over digital but consumer cassette doesn't

This was one of the reasons I got my radio changed out. Just did it today actually, got the old radio with a wire sticking out of the tape deck from the CD cassette adapter. ;)

This problem requires a talented radio tech or an exchange unit. Chicago Radio can provide a repair/exchange unit for about $225 plus shipping (that price was from about a year ago). They will rescue your tape (or adapter) and send it back to you. If you're brave and patient you can disassemble it yourself to retrieve it. A good 21st century audio unit will cost about twice that.

get a knife, wiggle it in there a while...pry and budge it losee and pull it out with tweezers
