I am going to try to make this a somewhat worthwhile thread I wont be asking about lawns and that sort.
My car has almost 32k miles on it and I am starting to notice some wear inside and I would just like to ask how I should deal with it.
Now my steering wheel is starting to have areas that look rubbed off, but I can get a new steering wheel cover somewhere I guess. I do have some similar wear on the drivers and passanger front door panals (where you shut the door) and the plastic panal that has all the window and door lock controls on the same doors also seems to be, chipping I guess I would call it and I really have no idea what to do to fix these things. I'm sure I am not the first person to have these problems (or at least I hope not) so I would really appreciate it if anyone could give me some advice or tell me what they did to fix these things.
Thanks ahead of time to everybody.

While you can still get them, look for some used but excellent condition interior door panels, seats or seat covers, and the switch panel. Maybe the dash panels would be good to have, too.

4rgone,

What type of wear, does some of it look like flaking or chipped paint?

It's actually hard to say I guess I would say flaking. It's gray, but there are little places that are darker and it's not like I spilled something on it it looks flaked. Could I just have it repainted?... Or is that a rediculouse thing to say? Also when it comes to the door panels is that all real leather? If so can I avoid or at least ward off further issues by using a leather conditioner of some sort?

I replaced both front door window switch trim panels when I bought my marauder & the cost was right around $50 for both @ my local ford dealer. Mine were chipped or flaking when I bought it used with 43k miles. I also replaced my steering wheel with a better one off of ebay due to wear on the top of the wheel.

Do a search on Interior Paint, there's a paint that you can buy that will reslove the "flaking paint" issue on the trim plates. I haven't done it yet, but need to.

Most of these issues can be repaired by someone experienced with vinyl dye (or very patient). There are professionals that visit most dealerships weekly. Find out who services your area and they will usually come to your location for repair. I have found them very reasonable. There was a franchise called "Dr. Vinyl" in NC that I dealt with.

What are you guys doing to your cars? My 39k mile mm has no wear on leather or plastic or anything. Are your interiors seeing more action than normal?

My interior has seen a lot of action... More of a topic for another thread though.
I really have no idea whats going on. My Marauder spent most of it's life in Arizona and now is in California, could be heat related, not enough "armor all". Was wanting to get a new steering wheel cover anyway
