Gordon/Haggis & Chris have 2 of the Kenny Brown MMs. Only people I know that have them.

So does N40GL/Mark. Don't know his KB number. Haggis = KB#8. Ladyhawke = KB#5.

Could you help me out?

I had a serious repercussion with changing my serpentine belt (see my thread "Kenny Brown Cars Help!")

Can you tell me the brand and part number that you have used for that belt?

I could have lost my engine because of a slip up in length it appears so far.
I appreciate your help.

Thank you.

Could you help me out?

John, I could if I still had the stock set up. After blowing up the motor and replacing it with a Cobra long-block (at 8.5:1 compression) I upgraded the supercharger (doesn't affect the belt size) and pulley (DOES affect the belt size), so what I have now won't work. If you want, I can go check the build sheet to see if they listed a specific belt part for the car, but I doubt it.

From memory, I recall my belt is 6061098 in Goodyear, but don't quote me - I made up a litle plastic badge with the belt part number on it, along with the oil (10w/30 in this block) and increased transmission oil pan, and riveted it to the inside of the hood. I'll have to go home and read it to tell you for sure.

Dennis Reinhart might also know - give him a phone call.

I do recall helpful advice from David Frye, among others: "use only a Goodyear Gatorback belt - the others'll squeal like hell." I'm here to tell you he's correct.

Let me know if either of these possibilities is something you want.

Mark

I used what Dennis recommended which was a belt 110.5 in. long. He could not specify any other parameter. I used it and it failed. Maybe because my mechanic didn't tension it properly.

If you could check your build data, it would be great if it isn't too much trouble.

Thank you very much
