Will the dealer do this for me?

I won two free oil changes at a raffle last weekend. I don't want anyone touching the car unless I'm getting new tires (or if it's Zack), so I'm going to find a way to get 16 empty oil bottles and ask the dealer to fill them for me. It'll be weird and I have to call ahead like it says. I have no idea what they will say when I got there and say "I won the free oil changes, but I just want the oil, not the service." Plus this dealer is a bit of a drive for me. The only way it makes since for me to go out there is if I visit a friend of mine and visit the dealership later.

Is there a way around this service so I can just get the product?

They MAY just give you the oil and filters...but if you won it...the oil maybe conventional off brand...wont it?

Just tell them its out of the way and you have done ALL the maintenance on your car and dont need their service...just need the "parts."

I don't think dealers carry oil by the bottle like Pep Boys does. The dealer I worked at had a station that filler a pitcher and that was pored into a cone into the car. That's why I might need to find a few empty bottles. If they have bottles great, I just doubt it. Then again, not everything works one way.

How much is that going to be worth, like $40 of unknown conventional oil? Sounds like too much hassle. Where are you getting 16 quarts for two oil changes from?

The Marauder takes about 7.

Next time I visit a friend of mine in prison that would be a good time to go to the dealer. I wouldn't drive 45 minutes just for the oil. That would be beyond my usual level of stupidity.

I say give them to someone or trash them. Who knows what kind of garbage they may give you.
