seat interchangability

Hi I'm brand new on this site. I have a 1997 Graqnd Marque and the seats are the most uncomfortable leather seats I ever sat in. Ive had 2 crown vics 2 grand marquis and a town car so I love the rides and ive done mods to the seats in 2 of the others but this one is a lost cause. Ive driven my dads 02 grand Marque and they feel like someone at mercury finally got it right. Will the seats from an 02 GM or 03 marauder bolt in? what modifications would need to made to make them work? I would sell this one and get a marauder but I also want an 02 corvette z06 to replace my 94 vette and this Grand Marquis is almost paid for.

Best I can say is I've installed seats from an 03 MM into a 2000 CVPI. The issues are getting the power seats to work along with the lumbar support pump. But I won't even try to get the side air bags to work.

Ed I put 06 seats in mine and was able to make a jumper harness using the parts from the old seat. Side air bags were not addressed. All the rest of the stuff works.

Crown Vic's,Marauders,and Grand Marquis are all Panther platform from 1992 up.

1991 (the last year box body) - 2009 Seats are interchangeable.

1990 and earlier floorpans are different.
