I searched for where to find my PCM code and found in a thread it is on a sticker on the drivers side door jamb at the base of the windshield.
If this is correct, I have MAV2. That sound right?

Was it a square white sticker with black letters and a bar code? If so, that's the right one...not familiar with the '04 codes, but they have always been 3 letters and a number, so MAV2 does sound right...

Yes, MAV2 is the code (so far) for the 2004 cars, according to the technician at my dealer.
I'll let you know soon how it runs on a 2003... ;-)

TTA,
Does it matter that we have different transmissions are are they so subtantially similar as to not matter?

That's precisely the first thing (ie. worry) that came to my mind, when this plan was hatching. More research is being done, hopefully within two weeks or so I'll have some good hard data.

Some others have discussed the possibility of 'additional' programming for the dual knock sensors as well.
