I'm trying to gauge interest in raffling off my MM. If enough interest is there to allow me to end the raffle relatively quickly, I'll kick it off.
I'm thinking (as recommended by VicsEvilBrother) 100 tickets at $100 each. I'll also give some of the proceeds to the site. After all the ticket are sold, I'll have a cook-out or some other MM gathering where the winner's ticket will be drawn.
Thoughts?

That sounds like a good idea. You'll at least get your money for the car and someone has a chance of owning a marauder for $100.

It is tempting, especially if it's Black. More info please! I think i'd be very interested.
This is not a bad idea, really. But be aware that sale tax on a $100 car @ 9% equals $9.00 plus a registration fee of $20.00, a new title $18.50, plus handling $8.00, could balloon the price to $155.50 in my state.
Let me consult with my bank......didididididididi.
OK, The bank said it was a go. Count me in if this thing flies.

Serge

Provided you could get 100 people to commit, this might be a good idea.

From Mike's for sale thread:
Nothing serious; just front tires, brakes are due, stupid check engine light since my gear install last fall. Cosmetically she's good with the exception of some scraping from two seperate H&R's on the front and rear bumpers. She just tonight rolled over 129k.
That was from 1 month ago, so I would imagine slightly more miles...
I think $100 shot at winning a great DAILY DRIVER Marauder would be awesome...
Money is tight, and I would at least take a chance (and help you out Mike!)

Good grief, this is a bad idea financially for me, but if I have $100 when tickets come out I'll pony up.

Didn't Zack want to raffle off a MM once before and there were issues with it? Maybe some kind of state permit thingy

I sent a PM to Mike this morning but he hasn't logged in since late last night. Due to a number of regulations, this website cannot be used as a platform for Mike's car raffle.

I would not be used to host the raffle, but rather to guide people to HIS raffle.... would that be acceptable?

I'm guessing the website couldn't be affiliated in any way, right Bunny?
Hmmm...how do I get the word out without getting the word out...hmmmm :D

I'm not sure how I could do it and not involve the site. How could I get the word out?

I'm already all riled up about this and it hasn't even happened. One Marauder is exciting enough. Imagine if I had two!!

Mike, what if you "got around" the raffle part?
Kind of like how someone had an ebay listing for a marauder water bottle, with a free marauder included.
What if you "sold" 100 items, and each was numbered. The winner would then "buy" your car with the proceeds.
Did anyone ask Bunny?
She responded.....check post #15 :D
