Just a random thought....since (as I understand it ) the MM has a Cobra engine minus the supercharger, is there any reason that a Cobra supercharger could not be used on a Marauder?

Only reason I could think of is the computer portion...but I don't know much about that.

The only real differance is the intake as its on the passanger side for the Stang and ours is driver side. So I think if you can find a Lightning intake and see if it bolts up to the Cobras M112 Eaton then you might be abel to pull it off. And JDM says our PCM is just like all the Mustangs including Cobras even 03's

P.S. why don't you look at Trilogy first since they'er kit is made for our cars and strickly for our cars unlike most others which is a borrowed Mustang Cobra application in some way or another.

And when I say its like the Stang PCM its in the same Computer housing and port set up. not code wise as we have our own unique codes from all other Ford products.

Bottom end is slightly different on the Cobra S/C. Crankshafts have different parts numbers (I assume it's the 'forged' vs. 'cast' issue?).

First place a stock Marauder motor will not hold up with much more than 10 lbs boost with a roots blower because it spools up so much faster than the centrifugal Vortech blower, That's why I like Vortech, and with a properly tuned car with 4:10/4:30 gears there is no signs of a lag as some have said about the centrifugal blower. With only six pounds boost the car gains over 200 RWHP, this is more than any curent roots blower at the same boost level. The MM is an aluminum block the 03 Cobra is cast The MM Crank is forged the 03 Cobra is steel the 03 MM has cracked cap rods good for about 450 RWHP and it has 10 to 1 Hypertectic pistons, the 03 Cobra has a forged rods and 8 to 1 pistons and they have stood up to over 650 RWHP. I just bought a 03 Cobra Motor to install in a marauder, I am using a ported Marauder intake instead of the Roots blower, like the Trilogy set up, which is a good setup I am going to use a the Vortech JT Trim and about 16 LBS boost this car will run 10's and make over 550 RWHP and still get relatively decent gas mileage, and you can let your mother drive it to church, and pray for redemption if she floors it.

Also I think the supercharger on the Cobra is taller and would not fit under the hood.

Zack,
12.6 on Sunday, not bad. No wonder I couldn't catch you on 394. If you saw that blue P.I. on the hill, that was me. O well, if gave me the excuse to drive fast to try to catch you. Later.

You know what? There are some really sharp people here. It would be almost intimidating if it weren't for the the fact that you are all so helpful and friendly. Thanks.

Are the 03 Cobra and MM heads the same? I believe the intake ports on the 03 heads changed from the 01 Cobra heads (no 02 Cobra). Therefore, the ports won't line up on older Cobras. I may be wrong. Since I already have a blower, I didn't pay too close attention.

The '03 Cobra and '03 Marauder heads seem to share the same part numbers (as well as camshaft numbers, etc.etc.etc.). As far as I (or my Marauder's driver's side) am concerned, they are the same heads.
