I just replaced my master cylinder and it had been leaking for awhile......paint removed from the booster!!:argue:
Very simple to do and bleeding the system was a snap with my vacuum tool!!
All is well....$113.xx later!!:D
Check the front of your booster for paint wrinkling = master cylinder gone bad and leaking!!
201,855 miles and still going STRONG!! :bows::burnout:

I jsut noticed brake fluid under my car, looks to be comming from the master cylinder. I will check closely, I thought it was just overflow since I did the brakes a month ago.
Can you tell us more about the install...

It's so simple and straight forward I don't think a sticky is in order but here goes....
**Need a 13MM line wrench to remove the lines from the master cylinder. (mine were not that tight so a standard 13MM wrench may work OK)
1. Unplug the ABS from the MC
2. Loosen the lines but don't completely disconnect them yet
3. With a 9/16 deep socket remove the nuts holding the MC to the booster
4. Slide the MC forward off the booster studs and remove the lines (no fluid leaked out of mine but you may put a rag under the MC just in case)
5. Pour brake fluid into the new MC reservoir and manually operate the cylinder in several times to fill the cylinders (I placed the front of the MC against my work bench and pushed the cylinder in with a phillips screw driver)
Caution: The new cylinder may have rubber plugs in the line holes and the rear one will fly 20 feet if not removed during this step.....so remove the plugs and fill over a bucket or trash can!
6. Install the new cylinder in the reverse order, connect the ABS and bleed the system.....you're done!!
That's all there is to it!!:D
