You will need a tuner to change your speedometer to the new gears, after that you should be quite happy.

Bob mentioned having the "tune" changed so the speedometer reads correctly. I would take that one step further and buy an SCT tuner which allows you to run a different program (they hold up to 3 programs so you can change them to suit your mood) on the chip that is already in your car (basically reprograms the car) to take advantage of all the horsepower that is already there.

The stock "tune" has very soft shift points set for the transmission and a bunch of other engine parameters that can be changed to give the car a lot more giddy-up. That would set you back about $400 US.

I personally like the look of the Marauders with the front end lowered a bit and in my opinion it can improve the handling. You can either buy custom springs from Eibach or have the front coil springs cut down. I bought the Eibachs so I could go back to the stock springs if I didn't like them. It lowers and also stiffens up the front suspension. If the car has a fair amount of miles on it, I would also invest in a new set of front shocks(also called struts). I went with the KYB gas adjusts. New Eibach springs are around $250-$300 US and if you shop around on line you can find the shocks for around $150 a set. I am not 100% sure on the prices as I did it over a year ago and I don't have the receipts close by.

Another good option to get more power is to add a set of headers from Kooks or Stainless Works. I think they run arond $800 and I don't have a clue what the shipping or install would run on those. I have not done that yet myself- but that's probably the next thing I will add when money is available to play.

Enjoy the Marauder over in Saudi and post some cool pictures hauling arse in the desert if you can.

Cheers

3.73's seem to be a waste of time and money. Many members have posted here the most effective change in gear raios for the rear end would be to go with 4.10's unless you're going to supercharge the car.

is there a big different between 3.73 and 4:10
i mean is it worth to sell my 3.73 and buy a new 4:10

and i saw (traction LOK) in the summit website can anyone tell what is it?

There's a bigger difference between stock 3.55's and 4.10's than between stock 3.55's and 3.73's.
If you can exchange the 3.73's for 4.10 gears do it,otherwise maybe you can sell your 3.73's to someone with a Crown Vic P71 or a Crown Vic or Grand Marquis, those respond well to 3.73's as they have anywhere from 2.73 to 3.23 rear end gears stock.
Do a search on 4.10 gears on here for verification and comments by those who've gone that route.

Yes--sell back the 373's--410's are the way to go--

trac lok or line lock? Don't believe Summit has a line lock for ABS brakes for the MM....

3.73/3.55 = 5% increase

4.10/3.55 = 15% increase

Three times the bang for the 4.10s. Doubt that you would even notice any seat of the pants difference with the 3.73. Most here have gone with 4.10 although there are a few with 4.30 and at least one with 4.56.

babbage on this site has 3.73 gears in his marauder. you can pm him and ask him what he thinks about them.

with the taller tire of the mm having 4.10 gears installed is like having 3.73 in a vic. well, close to 3.73 anyway. personally, i think you will be happier with the 4.10. your gas mileage will increase in the city and decrease on the highway. if you do a lot of highway driving and do not want to lose 2mpg, stick with the 3.73.

either way get a tune and enjoy that fine ride.
