so what makes you want to go with 16" when you have widened 18" s?

The tires I got at still 28" so I don't lose the height. I can get the MT ET streets in 18's. They are a better race tire than regular drag radials.

The new MT ET Street radial tire - #3794R: P295/50R16 is a good choice. It is not even listed on the MT site. It is a 27.7 dia tire with a 10.8 tread width requires a 8-10" rim. The main difference is that it is a radial tire that does not need tubes which are expensive and heavy. This DR will not give you the shakes when you run it as the bias-ply tire will especially without tubes.
