Got my car inspected this past Monday and passed with no trouble. Mechanic advises me I still have a lot left on my original brakes. I have 116 K on the Marauder and still have original brakes but I also do a lot of highway and turnpike driving which saves them. Just curious has anyone ever gotten more than 116 K on their original brakes? Who has gotten the most?

I went about 175K on the rears. I think I used the metal backing on the liners for the last 5K or so though.

I'm on my fourth set of front brakes on 80K .
Speaking of brakes I have two front rotors with a months use, if anybody is interested.Autozone cheapies.
My Baers were replaced under warranty but I drive it daily and needed to have something while I waited for replacements.

OEM brakes were changed out at 171,000 miles and still had a lot of life left.....just thought it was time to get new ones!!!
I drive a lot of highway miles and had two sets of front rotors that I turned whenever they started pulsing a little.....rears were never turned!!:bows:
I tried aftermarket brakes all around with horrible results..........squealing, pulsing, high pedal pressure......so I bought Ford stuff all the way around and will go another 150K++!!!:D
BTW....I currently have 202,000 miles on her...going for 300K!!!:beer::bows:

Ha, I am on my 3rd full set of rotors and pads @39k miles. If you're not burnin em up you're not driving fast enough!

50k on the fronts and rears and both appear new.
Fronts have subsequently been removed recently and upgraded.
I pitched the rotors, but saved the calipers, lines, and pads.

I replaced my original rear brakes at 10K and the fronts at 14k. The next set got replaced at 59k for the fronts and 65k for the rears.

I had my r/f hub replaced yesterday @ 77K. It's comforting to know it was made in Cameroon! I was going to put OEM pads and rotors on since they have never been changed but the tech said to save my money for another 5 or 6K. They still have 6mm thickness on them. The rotors have a rust ridge and will have to be replaced so I'll take them to the end. Rear pads, rotors and e-brake shoes (never used) were replaced about 60K

I purchased new Comand S1 rotors Hawk hps pads front & rear at 50,000 miles. The funny thing is my oem pads & rotors are only now at 95000 miles showing signs of needing to be replaced at 3/4 wear. I have never before had brakes perform or last for so many miles.
Mine made it 30k + 1 weekend at Sebring. :)

that's pretty good considering you brake hard every 1/4 mile both ways.

I replaced mine all around at 171,000 miles and they would have made it to 200K easily!!!:bows:
I did however have two sets of front rotors that I had turned and switched out every 20K-30K due to "Ford Pulsating Syndrome" but the pads were OEM!!
I have gotten 100K miles out of CV brakes before but the Marauder was far better!!

I changed mine at about 100K only because my rotors were showing signs of spots and some places very small cracks....pads had a buch left on them though.
