Ok guys you all been asking for them so here you go. 1 set for sale 2.5 Mandrel Bent stainless steel tail pipes that go over the axle. I just got me a set fabed up and installed today. They used my car for fabrication of the tailpipes. I got 1 extra set made for anyone who would like to buy them.
The tailpipes are made in two sections on both side for ease of installation. Included also are 2 Torqtite band clamps to connect the two sections together. They are made long so you can cut off the end and add your choice of tips. Im asking $325.00 for the set. I would prefer not to ship these so I am making this offer to local guys first.
By Sunday July 26th if no local guys are interested I will sale them to any one who may be interested but the price will still be $325.00 plus shipping to your door. I might beable to setup a group buy if enough guys are interested please let me know. Attached are pics of the set for sale and pics of the ones installed on my car, I also added Magnaflow 14" Stainless Steel mufflers today I am enjoyin the sound and how they have no restriction due to the straight through design.

Can't any exhaust shop bend pipes that look symmetrical? This may not be important on other cars but on a Panther where they are visible from the back it's hard to miss.

What kind of steel? T304 or T409...aluminized?
They look good...I had a set of T304 custom made...that is a good price if they are at least T409...

This is a great idea.
After all the money spent on headers, high flow cats, x-pipe, mufflers, new tips, this makes sence. This mod also made any drone that was left, non existant.

Natehawk had these made up at Mandrel Bending Solutions in Pasadena, MD. I believe they still have the measurements to make new ones. I'd contact Natehawk first and see if he knows who to talk to about them. A friend of mine also works there, Kurtis. Their work is hands down some of the best.
I have the set he sold. :D :banana2:

My local exhaust shop will make muffler-back custom bent piping for 150 bucks
Not stainless, but good enough. Wish I was a big enough baller to have 350$ tail pipes :D

Crush bent instead of mandrel bent, I suppose.

So in a thread about mandrel bent, stainless steel tailpipes you bring up crush bent, regular steel exhaust?

Uhh no, in the thread about mandrel bent stainless exhaust I brought up mandrel bent steel exhaust, as a comparison in price.

You're lucky to have a local shop with a mandrel bending machine then...
Seems strange they don't use stainless pipes since the mandrel benders are so big and expensive.

They offer stainless but they don't keep it in the shop for some reason
Most of their business is just aluminized I guess.

Most mandrel bending shops specialize in stainless. Kinda strange. You're sure it's mandrel bent?

Still running my old Edelbrocks. I'll probably just re-use the stock pipes from the mufflers back, just like I have right now.

Maybe the price they gave me was for crush bent... I know they have a mandrel bender so I assumed it would be mandrel bent.

what's wrong with crush bending? bad flow?

Mandrel bending keeps the inside diameter constant when bent. Crush bending is just that. You'll notice a small "kink" in the pipe where the bend occurs. Slightly worse flow, especially in smaller diameter pipes.
Left: Crush bend. Right: Mandrel bend.
