Thanks Marc! Already making our plans for next June. We'll be there Fri/Sat. night and will grab one of the rooms as soon as we have the details. Want to urge all members to make Carlisle a priority and make the trip if at all possible! Having our own class is huge! A real accomplishment and we owe it to the passion and persistence of Blackened300a (Paul) and to the mm.net members who showed up with their Marauders in greater numbers each year to back up his cause. It's a wonderful show. You won't regret it. Come out and be part of this historic first!!

does this mean that mm will be in ''stock'' class and the mm that have superchargers and blowers and chrome pipes will be in the ''modfied class'' not ''stock' .So there will be two classes.

Ms. Denmark
07-26-2009, 02:38 AM
No. To my understanding there will be one class of Marauders in 2010. Who knows after that. If we make a big enough showing, they could break us down into stock vs. SC.

I booked my room/suite at the Carlisle Hampton Inn about 2-3 weeks ago. :D

Question --- am I supposed to be getting automatic "updates" when a message is posted to the Carlisle Group. "Cause I ain't getting them. :dunno:

FastMerc

You probably will but this thread (for instance) is not in the Carlisle forum and wasn't posted to the Carlisle group....

J

**UPDATE: Just did some playing around and it looks like you need to subscribe to any of the open discussions within the group and flag Email notifications. Doesn't appear to have the same functionality at the group level. As long as discussions don't get too random in the group; you could subscribe to 1 or 2 of the bigger threads and that should keep you in the loop and let you know if anybody has been posting in there.**

...or you could always click on the "Got Carlisle?" text in my signature and go straight there :)

I haven't gotten any notices or updates from the Carlisle Group site. Just wondering if the "group" might actually work against increasing attendance since only members will get the word if postings are made in the group area. I'd prefer that this be put to the membership at large to reach a wider audience.

Not sure that I understand the "advantages" of the social group. Educate me.

Not too sure there is much more to be had by containing things in a group. The technology is a rather remote option compared to the forums which have more steam anyhow.

Probably need to keep everything under the Carlisle forum under Events that way it shows up on New Posts (or Today's Posts or whatever it is called now...).

I called the local Hampton Inn phone number from their web site and booked a room for June 4-6 at $149/night. Told them I was with mercurymarauder.net. The lady couldn't tell me how many more rooms were available for our group. The number I called is different than the one FastMerc posted. It's (717) 240-0200. She offered me a room with 2 Queens. Maybe they are booked up for King rooms? I didn't quible, just glad to get a room.

If I call directly and mention MM.net, would it be cheaper?

Probably was "Loco1234". They had the DTR from Northeastern PA.

Only other DTR's there were: "n3fvg" from SE PA and "jonroe" from NoVA. DTRMiguel was there on Friday in the rain but didn't come back for Saturday and Sunday.

OK EVERYONE.............MV7 has come and gone and it was AMAZING!! Now it's time to turn our attention to upcoming opportunities to showcase our cars and spend some more time together. This group really does enjoy hanging out and we're always happy to welcome everyone/anyone who wants to join in.

I spoke to a lot of you about coming out to Carlisle All Ford National in Carlisle, PA JUNE 4-6 2010. This will be the first year '03/'04 Marauders will have their own class!!

Blackened 300a (Paul) has made this his priority. Due to his passion/persistence ........and the support of MM.NET and all the members who have come out to Carlisle with their cars.....it has happened! Let's come out in the largest numbers ever for our inaugural event!

Fast Merc has made arrangements for a limited number of rooms to be set aside for mercurymarauder.net members at the Hampton Inn in Carlisle. Call (717) 240-0200 to reserve yours now!! Hope to see all the "usual suspects" and hope that a lot of you who haven't been, will join the rest of us this summer at Carlisle.!!!!!!!

Rooms are usually the issue if you want to stay with the rest of the group. Registration for the Show Field can come later. Have registered in February in the past and still have a fairly low number. Not even sure that registration for June 2010 is open yet. Check the Carlisle Events site >>>> http://www.carlisleevents.com

It'll be under the 2010 All Ford Nationals ..... then registration. And yes it is open now. $40.00 to register for the Showfield. We should have our very own "Marauder" class next year.

Just to remind everyone in a subtle way.... PRE-REGISITER!!!!!!

Not only does his save you $10 but it gives the director at Carlisle a number of cars he needs to provide enough parking space for.
He told us last year that the Saleen and Roush guys never pre-register and they end up parked all over the field and not with thier club.
I cant stress this enough PRE-REGISTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ill add a new thread everyday to stress this point if I need to. :D
