I also posted this in the main forum seeing that it is a problem with most everyone here.
If this is old news, I sure haven't heard about it yet.
The 2010 Camaro sports this size, they are a new tire, new compound, and LOW price. Just ordered a set, I'll give you the rundown in a week or so.

T Rated - don't go over 118...
Also says "Modified tread for Camaro OE" Curious to see what the actual tread pattern looks like.

I never did any research on the speed rating...is it for "sustained" speeds at X mph or for 10 minutes or 3 secs or what?

The maximum operating speed of a vehicle must be limited to the lowest speed rated tire on the vehicle. (apparently 3 seconds)
Factory BFG tires are W Rated (168MPH) Not that many could hit that number. I say better safe than sorry.

I posted a pic of the actual tread pattern in the other thread. Speed rating is sustanined. I am calling discount tire direct (I have purchased 8 tires from them in the past 2 weeks) to see what their price is vs tire rack. Discount tire has free shipping. Their tires are on average about $5 per tire more expensive than tire rack for the exact same model tire but then tire racks shipping is about $12 a tire so its still overall a decent savings. Discount tire does not list the 245/55 on their website but I emailed them and they said they should be able to order them over the phone.
Anyhows, if I can come to terms with a 245/55 on the front I am going to order these and I will post pics on the car when I get them

Speed rating is sustained.
The ECE test requires a tire be tested at increasing speeds at 77F without failure for 10 minutes. 10 mins at 118Mph at 77F - However hotter and faster with more load might fail in less time. yes?
My winter tires beat your summer tires...

The load rating on these is only 100 pounds less per tire than the KDWs, (like 1800 lbs vs 1900) I thinks they is okay
