Why did you convert the suspension, and how do you like it?
BTW, AWESOME PRICE

What size front and rear tires are on the car in the pics? I am just curious because I am gathering tire size/fitment data for my upcoming tire purchase. It looks like the rears must be taller than stock?
Good luck w/ your sale and thanks for any info you can give me on the tires

Looks like the front should be lower! ;)
I might do the Eibachs this weekend

Suspension was converted because one of the factory airbags was leaking. I don't like air suspension, so it is now passive (P71 CV) and will outlast the airsuspension.
I have 235/55s in the front and 255/60s in the rear.
After driving it to work today... don't really know if I want to sell it. I have to get on the Vette forums and see how a C5 is for daily driving.

Whoa... slow down there, LOL! This is the perfect go fast daddy car, you'll regret it.

I love my '77. It's loud, it's fast, all the hippie chicks dig it. But it sits idle, like a nerd at Senior Prom. The Marauder to me is safer, more reliable, and all around just plain more fun.

I hope ^this^ (a cooler head) prevails.
Seriously.
I mean, it's your checkbook and you can/will do what you want with it, but...ugh, a VETTE? :puke:
This has nothing to do with Ford vs. Chevy; it has to do with everyone and their mother having/wanting Corvettes, them not being suitable for daily driving, parts costing way more, insurance being more expensive...etc. Not to mention, if you pull into a car cruise with a Marauder, you'll probably be the only one there with one (unless you pre-arrange a meet with someone here).
Your price on the Marauder is too low, anyway! :burnout:

The Marauder is a perfect family car. Very safe. You should keep it I think.
You'll never find one that was kept up like you have with that one.
BTW - what exact model of Dynomax Mufflers did you install? Does it drone at all at ANY RPM?

All very good points, and I appreciate the input. For the difference b/t the Marauder and C5, I could easily get a trilogy s/c and some other bolt ons!
As for the mufflers, I went with the Dynomax Ultraflow SS series. I have 4 inch delete tips too, but will wait to put them on for now.

Corvette will just make you look like your in a midlife crisis... Think about it

Keep the Marauder. Women will see you in a Corvette and think that you are small.

Great pics. Reasonably priced. It should move. If I were looking I would check it out. I really, really like your Caddy.

96fleetwood,
Understand your wanting a C5 Vette. We got ours AFTER kids 10 yrs ago. Now we have the 2 MMs and the Vette.
Do yourself a favor. Keep the MM, get rid of the Caddy, and get a C5 Vette as a fun car. A C5 can be used as a dd, but NOT with a 6sp IMHO. We got the 4-sp auto for wifey mainly, but I don't regret the auto. Sittin' in traffic is NO fun with a clutch.
Couple more things: If you buy a used C5 Vette, try to get one that has NOT been modded to heck and one that has less than 30K miles. Do get the HUD and anti-skid system (I forget what it is called -- saves your arse!) that is integrated with the ABS.
Like others have said, if you do a Cruise-In with the MM and the Vette, the MM gets more lookers and more comments! Ask me how I know!

Fleetwood is here to stay, it is almost perfect and has wins 5-10 trophies each show season. I plan on putting a T56 6 speed this coming winter ;)
We will see how this pans out, I have two interested parties right now but each want a show car... I told them to shell out $15-18K for that kind of car.

Corvettes are a dime a dozen! You've seen one, you've seen them all! I don't even acknowledge Corvettes anymore... I like the cars that stand out! Corvettes and Mustangs are all over the place... How often do you see a marauder and how often do you get compliments on said vehicle?

I have a deposit on the car, sale pending.
.... maybe I should buy a Marauder that is already modded ;)

I can't believe it sold so fast! I took this picture this morning at work before I picked up the new owner:

The new owner picked it up this morning. I told him to join this forum.... it is going to a good home.
Now time for me to find the right replacement... modded Marauders are not out of the questions ;)
Take care,
Elias
