Hi All, Wondering what the consensus is here (yes I did a search first) about which is the best CD Manual to get (probably from eBay). Looking for something comparable to what the dealer would use...

IMO, the hardcopy version is much more user friendly.

There are two manuals you should get, the shop manual, and the electrical wiring supplement.

The Crown Vic/Gran Marquis manuals contain all the info for the Maruader as well.

This is what I have:

Manual on CD

2004 Body & Chassis manual

2004 Electrical manual

2003 Electrical manual

I prefer the hard copy. It's much easier for me to read.

You can also printout the pages you need from the CD.

Once I get my garage setup I'll have a PC & printer so I can use the CD more effectively.

I got all my manuals from here: http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Lorie-and-Jeff__W0QQ_armrsZ1

I used to look for the dealer hardcopy manuals, but at $100 a pop for incomplete manuals, I didn't see the gamble being worth it, which was why I switched over to the manuals on CD. When I had my Impala SS, I bought what I thought was a complete set from eBay, only to look up some info and find the pages I needed were MIA

I got the shop and electrical manuals for my 2002 CV and my 2004 MM off eBay from diferent people,I got them at pretty good prices and they were all in very good shape and 100% complete. The covers were a little shop worn and slightly dirty but not greasy or torn.

+1 on Lorie and Jeff as a source for the manuals. FBM clued me in on these folks, that's where I got mine as well. They were obviously used, covers were a bit shop-worn, but 100% complete. I highly recommend them.

I got mine from Fordcds.com before they where closed down a few years ago.

You can download it here now

(I would only buy paper/book manuals on e-bay, the cd's and dvd's on e-bay are just 99% homemade copy's which you can get of the internet for free)

Yes the 03-04 GM and CV manual is what you need.

You can use utorrent (http://www.utorrent.com/)

Then it should work might take a few hours though, and when you have downloaded it burn it on a dual layer DVD or mount the disc image with Deamon tools.

Here's some screenshots from the manual:
