Long story short, state farm decided to lowball me on my car because it was considered a fleet vehicle (alas never saw service) and i only got 5 grand out of it. I feel that this was a bit low considering the fact that finding a no holes, clean, non smashed, sub 100k miles, bench seat car with cloth here in chicago is damned near impossible for under eight for a 2004.
I was hoping to get enough to pay cash for that MM over in MA but apparently i wont.
So, any recommendations on as to what to get?
Well that sucks. Check out auto-trader or e-bayz.
State farm jipped me bad on my car. Apparently i can find a bench seat p71 without holes thats not white, full records, no service use, looks like brand ****ing new anywhere in the US for five grand thats a 04.
So........ What to do with 5000 clams? I need a new car bad..... and its outta marauder territory now (alas it shouldnt have been, i think 65-7 would be more appropriate).

Does anyone understand what this ^^^^ says? Seems to be missing lots of words and sentences on my screen.

I can only buy semi local to make this more difficult and im one of those idiots who REFUSES to go buy a car on ebay sight unseen.
AT has nothing... cabbies seem to snatch everything within any mileage around here. Sorta sucks. I wish i could buy dude in MAs marauder but noone will finance me at this point.
My apologies for the jibba jabaa before.... im just a little ticked.

You should never apologize for being vocal on an issue you care about. I'd be pissed off, too. You may have to bite the bullet and buy a decent little car for now and start saving towards another panther platform if that's what you still want. You could hit the lottery tomorrow you never know.

No one will finance you the difference between what you have and what you need....something like $3000? Thats odd.....
anyways, take the money you got, and put it in the bank. Buy a <$1000 car, and drive it in to the ground while you save your money.

None of your local credit unions? That's a bit of a surprise...I know how it is to have a lack of credit history, but with proof of income and such, I don't think $3000 is a high risk loan for them.

Ryan, you NEVER take the first offer, thats right OFFER from an insurance company! My last minor wreck they offered just under $1000.00 bucks to fix it, I walked away 30 minutes later with around $2300.00! It seems they forgot two panels that needed attention and the fact the color was a very rare tri stage pearl red. Once brought to their attention it was nothing but "Oh yeah, I didn't catch that, let me go and take another look." and " Your right! were just so busy right now I just got a little rushed......Sorry bout that." And yes, this was State Farm! This is only one incident with ins. companies. My old boss (remolding contracter) used to have no issues getting plenty of more money out of them for repairs on customers home from fires, storms, whatever the problem may be.
They obviously had your VIN # when you signed on, knowing then it was a fleet vehicle. Did they give you any notice? What does your card read? Take this higher up buddy.

First, don't take the first offer, negotiate for more or take the money and keep the car, then part out the car.
Second, State Farm is terrible for paying claims. Shop for insurance elsewhere.

Hmmmm, never had a problem with State Farm, you just gotta know how to deal with them, that's for certain. Have one or both of your parents step in and help if need be.
FWIW, I have a Black Lx Sport F.S., 2005 model.

Most insurance companies have a service to find the actual selling point of "used" cars in your area. I was low balled on my 1992 Cougar XR7 in 1994 when a tree fell and crushed it. They found 1 car about $1700 below blue book (remember a 2 year old car). I said fine, replace my car with that one. They backed off and gave me a fair price for my car.

Do exactly what BlackMarauder04 advised tell them to replace your car with the one they found. Advise them that it has to as clean and the same mileage as yours and you want to see the car they found that matched yours. They might have called three dealers or used car lots and said if you has a 2004 CV with xxxx mileage and in xxx condition what would it sell for” much less what would ask Show them any receipts for parts or add on that you had done. Do your home work and look up the Kelly Blue book and Black book other values for your car such as newspaper and Auto Trader. Ask them what salvage value is they might be low balling and know they can salvage and the claim will washout.

Go back, DEMAND they they PROVE it is a fleet vehicle, and when they can't, get the remainder. Insurance companies are always screwing with the customer. :cheesed:
