Hey CBT, please send my best wishes for a speedy/complete recovery to Brian and Natalie (along w/everyone elses on the site I'm sure).
If he sounds up to it razz him/tell him Krytin said he needs to be checking out the joint for some more "skulls" for our cars!!

Just talked to Natalie she said he is still pretty tired but they will keep him for a week. So anyone that wants to visit during that time is welcomed too. She will let us know.
If you want to know more about the procedure Brain is having this thread will bring you up to speed. In his case there is more blockage.

Chris and I visited Brian yesterday as well. He was still very tired in the afternoon and kept dozing off. We met Merc and Pam and Nat at the hospital then we all went out to dinner after we picked up Brian's mother, wonderful woman just like Brian. After dinner we all went back to the hospital to visit Brian again, he seemed more alert this time and was more talkative. Nat is worried and is not getting enough sleep or eating enough, hopefully Mom will be able to get her to cooperate.

Just saw this! Brian, pull through buddy you's and me's got a date with a few corners to drift again in about 9 months! Nat, get yourself some sleep, I know it's hard, but when Melanie's cancer related hospital visits started to take over our lives, we started looking more like zombies! I learned quicky it was up to me to keep her spirits up to be able to complete the chemo sessions and I promise you, a cheery face will help Brian get back on his feet alot quicker! Hang in there yous two, were all waiting for him to silversurf the net real soon.

(I called Brian on Friday afternoon to see if I could stop by and pick up a car part...Natalie answered his cell phone and told me that Brian had had a heart attack on Thursday night....I couldn't believe what I was hearing!
Natalie said that Brian was very tired and groggy, but fortunately was doing 'OK and slowly recovering.
I didn't want to post about it, because I wasn't sure if Brian and Natalie wanted it up on the site.)

This may actually be a very good sign. My wife works for a Cardiologist in VA. The really serious cases are immediately evacced to Washington Hospital Center because of the cardiac team on site there. Critical cases are air evacced.
All heart attacks are serious business. But if he is still at Southern Maryland, I'd take that as a postive sign that things are under control.

It can be very hard on the person that had the heart attack mentaly for a while and they begin to question and wonder about it happening again or how it will effect their life. You may not even notice the depression or change at first or dismiss it thinking it will go away soon enough.
To the family just make sure you help him to recover Mentaly as well as physicly but don't let him feel helpless and totaly wait on him hand and foot it can add to the problem without realizing it.
Anyways I am glad for him and the family that he is doing better and wish you all the best of luck in your health for the future and hope you all have many more happy years together!
Good luck and God bless!

Diane and I took off work early and drove up to Southern Maryland Hospital. We arrived and he had checked out two hours earlier, probably around the time I left work. They didn't mention he was transferred. Thought he was going to be there a few more days. No MMnet access at work. Anyway, we are very glad to hear he is doing better!
Putting in stent is usually pretty routine but I almost lost my brother-in-law during this routine procedure when the vessel ruptured during the procedure. They had to cut him open quickly before he bled out/in. Hope all went well with Brian's procedure.
