It was gone before and now it's back. Does anyone know how to make that RPM drop go away in second gear at WOT?

I won't go into all the details as to why is was gone and nows it's back, but I would like it gone. What can I do?

I would love it gone on my car too... I would guess it is a tune adjustment...

Raise the shift RPM so it drops you back into the "sweet spot".

So I can fix this myself? What should I set it to?

Are you talking about what happens in this vid at about 0:15? If so, My car does it as well.

Ya I want it gone.

Paul, you're saying I can fix this with my tuner?

it's not per chance the torque converter locking is it? that's the only thing I would think would cause that to happen, as I'm assuming it isn't tire slipping from shifting hard into second.

I'm assuming it isn't tire slipping from shifting hard into second.

If the car was slipping at all the RPMs would go up. Getting grip it would go back down, but no the car isn't slipping.

yeh that's why I was making sure, but it didn't seem like it was breaking traction.
have you considered and ruled out the torque converter idea yet? The only time I remember my car behaving that way was before I got my Lidio tune, and even then it would only really do that if I was going easy on the gas pedal.

I have a feeling that tuning for max power on a dyno leaves some "drivablity" issues!!:shake:

I have a ProCharger and the only time it bogged at all was after the J-Mod the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts were so abrupt that part throttle shifts caused it to fall out of boost and thus a bog!!:argue:

If it's not the TC locking (some tuners lock it at WOT) I'd look at the tune and fuel management??

Did it bog like this before your dyno session Dom??

Hey, just wondering, what's up with all the lights lit on the dash, airbag, air suspension etc? But I did here the bog about 60mph.

That is actually not my car, its ctrlraven's car, I used that vid as an example of what my car is doing, I think his dash is lit up do to him having drag radials on and that causes his abs light to be on, also, I believe he turned off his air suspension off so that light is on as well, along with his over drive "off" light, you may want to double check with him though

Ding Ding Ding.................
We have a winner!
I don't think it is one of the user adjustable parameters on the flash tuner.

You need the next level of software to shut the torque covverter clutch off in 2nd gear.
