I need help identifying a part. It is a white module located under the steering wheel behind the metal panel. I don't have power to the 5 amp fuse in the fuse block for the radio (fuse #2) and I traced the source wire here. The sticker says:

What is this part called and what might it run me for a replacement?

Thanks FordNut, I'm thinking the same thing. I'll call the local dealer on Monday and brace myself when I bend over.

I doubt it's an ignition switch...the part number suggests maybe the controller for the EVO in the power steering. What is wrong with your car that you think this is the problem?

The radio does not turn on. It has power to eject a CD but no power is supplied for it to turn on once the car is started.
The radio gets this power supplied from the #2 fuse in the passenger compartment fuse box. The #2 fuse is supplied by a Green wire with a purple stripe that I traced back to this module. There is continuity between this module and the fuse box, no impedance can be measured to ground or power source basically showing an open circuit. This is regardless of ignition switch position.
The previous owner had wired his radar detector to the #2 fuse for the radio that is supplied by this module and removed it when I bought the car from him. I think he shorted something internally on the radio go on circuit (who knows what else). Other "ignition is on" related accessories work fine but the module was damaged in some way since no power is outputted.
If I can find another one I will open this one up and fix it if possible. I just want my radio to work and if the module is damaged internally I don't want some other Electrical gremlin popping up because of a short or something in this module.

I have also noticed that the interior lights do not shut off right away. First time its happened but the lights stayed on today when I took a spin around the block. I wonder if a LCM and light switch repair are in need also.
Edit: found this problem. Dome lamp switch has a huge sweet spot for when it turns on the interior lamp. Its at about 3/4 of the way up and it turns on the interior lights. Something else to replace.

Found the issue, It was a loose terminal in the connector. I tweaked it and got it working. Thanks all.
