Well, it's finally time. After 213K miles, I guess I need a transmission re-build. I have some good options there, so no need to discuss that. I would like however, to hear thoughts, praise, and warnings about Torque Converter options. Good time to up-grade. The car will remain a daily driver, N/A, with the 3.55 gears, and a hot tune. No discussion needed here either, as this is want I want (and I know how good all you 4.10 gear guys are, especially the ones I've shown the rear bumper to). Let's here what you think regarding brands, stall, streetability, whatever you can think of. I'll need the info rather quick, like to be back at the track in 2 weeks. Thank you in advance.

If you are going to stay 3.55 gears go with a 3000 stall converter. 3500 stall works best with 4.10 gears. I guess whatever brand BC Automotive sells or PI would be good.

I've daily driven mine with 3.55 gears and 3500 stall for 2 years now since the 3500 stall was instead, had to get a re-tune for the adjustment but after that I've been plenty happy with it.

For your car, a PI would be fine. I really liked my 3000 stall as it was a much better daily driver. Of course it was a single disc and did not survive Sebring behind the turbo. :) The PI's are the best bang for the buck also.

I have a 3500 now and personally it is annoying day to day. You would not even need a lock-up one. I will be sending the 3000 back in to make a triple disc 3000 lock-up capable of 600 rwhp if possible. Unfortunately I have very few options with the turbo.

Paul, Darrin at BC had a very nice 2800 stall converter built for me. So far, (about 200 miles) I really like how it's working.
