One of the secrets to this installation is.........DO NOT CONNECT THE VALVE COVER BREATHER TO ANYTHING!!!

It will cause tremendous crank case pressures and explode the oil pan!!:shake:

Cool!

Going to the grocery store tomorrow, so I can pick up some new mods.

That would really be hot on a DTR.

Oh, wait a minute. Installing that mod will surely make my Marauder a "race car".

As Reba would say. . . . . craaaaap!

Well if you look closely, to the left of the can of the Original is in fact a can of Sour Cream and Onion. It's only part of a can so it's only like 4hp though. :P

Fit a turbinator in that sour cream & onion can, and you've got an unstoppable intake setup...

Man, you don't know how close I was to doing that a few weeks ago!!

My daughter's '04 CV LX Sport was throw ing CEL's for first high and then low EGR flow. All of the vacuum lines were intact and the valve appeared to be working properly soooo I thought the port/passage must be plugged in the intake elbow.
My logic:

No sense trying to clean out a part that's probably all carbonized and gunked up - heck I'll just replace it!
Brilliant!
If I'm going to replace it I may as well upgrade it!
Brilliant!
BBK makes a 78mm TB/plenum one piece unit and it fits up to an '04 Mustang GT.
Comes with all the gaskets and hardware.
It's got to be an easy bolt on.
Order it from Summit Racing!
Brilliant!
It does bolt on w/minimal hose rerouting but what was I thinking - how does the stock air inlet from the filter housing "slip" over a 78mm T/B?
It doesn't!
DOH!

One two stop trip to PEP Boys then Home Depot and I had a CAI that looked just like the JLT intake in my Marauder.

The traction light comes on more frequently when leaving a stop light!

It worked okay? I'm curious enough to ask if you have a photo.

I will get you a picture when the kid comes home with the car at the end of the week - she's on a short road trip visiting some college friends

It actually works really well!

That's just a fresh spray of that rubber cleaner/dressing from McMaster-Carr.
The 2 valve motors really look alot better w/out the plastic cowl over the intake!

Anyone who can't figure out how to make one of these for themselves after seeing the pictures should stick with the Pringles cans!

I don't want to start any trouble and I do like my JLT on the Marauder BUT
the tube I made for the CV is the EXACT same as the JLT on my Marauder (and I have enough to make 1 or 2 more if anyone needs it)!;)
