17,000 miles, perfect paint, dark flint interior, Trilogy with in gas tank racing fuel pump and 39 lb. injectors, SW headers, $3000 Pioneer GPS stereo, 4.30 rear end, PI torque converter, balanced driveshaft, level II transmission reinforcement, and a few other things I forgot. Never abused or raced or (rarely) put into boost (seriously).

Hoping for $18,000 but the garage space is needed. Currently stored in a garage around Chicago, dusty but very near perfect. Send a PM for info and/or make an offer.

Sounds like a nice car. Pictures might help.

Honestly I am not technical enough with digital cameras to take a photo and download an attachment. I can ask Motorhead350 if he would do it or even check out the car for you. I am open to any good mechanic checking it out also. It is honestly the ONLY Marauder total cherry cream puff because it was driven recreationally (on dates and modification service calls only) and NEVER driven over 65 mph.

It was also never driven in a sports cars way except during dynotunes and mechanic test drives because of the characteristics of the Trilogy bypass valve (If you aren't a rev-happy kind of driver, you ain't gonna get boost.).

The photo, if you really need one, would be just another perfect paint black shiny Marauder (I am a little too lazy and/or tired to detail it anytime soon, so it is dusty in a garage around Chicago now.). When I say PERFECT, I mean the dealer didn't wash it...I mean I use a foam gun and Meguiars new cotton towels...it has never been parked next to another car...has no dings, scratches, or even fine spider scratches. It has a unique Gator Customs stainless steel mesh grille which is, of course, reversible if you don't like it.

I need the money because I have to buy a Town Car "L" before they start making obama econoboxes cause homey ain't sitting in a 40 mpg dead trap.

I think anyone is going to need a photo before spending $18,000.

I think you are giving it away. I'm in Canada..we pay way more new too. Here it would be worth at least $26K. The only drawback is the diff....4:10's are the preffered gear ratio. Good Luck!!!!

29 years old and you can't use a digital camera? How are people not that much older than me not tech savvy?

I agree with this one. Is this a bit weird to anyone else...or just me? :bs:

He got a S/C kit from Zack, had his mommy drive him to have it installed.

The guy is a complete liar, he re-negs on promises/offers he's made.

He's a complete and utter psychopath, nutjob, and flake.

For more information - see the following links.

http://www.mercurymarauder.net/showcase/files/4/6/7/Mesh_Grill_1.jpg - A picture of the car's (FUGLY) grille. He's inept, and cannot take pictures for himself.

http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/search.php?searchid=2579500 He's a lunatic... read through his posts... he talks himself in circles, and refuses to give any quantifiable proof of anything.

He says the car was never raced/abused... yet in one post, brags about driving around with the vacuum line off of his S/C for a month, spinning the tires, and running full boost nonstop. http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=35978

Sure, the car is clean (apparently it has a scratch on it due to an electrician being a careless tard)

The car has a clean OASIS report, and a clean CARFAX report. (I had to provide the CARFAX report for him). I can give you the build number, etc... I've done more research into his car than he has, for all of his inane ramblings and bitching about torque/hp/burnouts/bypass valves...

The guy is absolutely nuts... His mother drives him everywhere, IN HIS MARAUDER! (Which, for the record is registered/titled in his dad's name in Wisconsin, even though he lives in Chicago...) He told me he wants a mini van, and is posting in this forum that he wants a Town Car...?? WHICH IS IT, PETER? And, why? Do you need to seat 6 people? And hell, Zack *REFUSES* to even talk to the guy any more... Don't deal with this guy, spend more money and get a 'sane' person to sell you the car.

Now... You may be asking "Why is this Benwin guy all of a sudden attacking someone?"

Let me break it down for you.
When I first posted my huge list of questions (check threads started by me), Peter sent me a PM saying he has a Trilogy S/C Marauder with 17k miles for $18,000... I replied thanks for the offer, but it will be a year or so before I have money, as I am in the process of a claim against an insurance company (Check my other messages for a link to the picture of my car after a semi ran a red light)... and wouldn't be able to even think of buying his car until then...

So, a little bit goes by and he replies with an AMAZING (Read: too-good-to-be-true) offer! I CAN HAVE THE CAR NOW AND PAY WHEN I GET MY SETTLEMENT IN A YEAR! ALL I HAVE TO DO IS SIGN A PROMISSORY NOTE!

(insert skepticism here)

I tell him that "a year" was a rough time-frame... and continue to tell him the ins and outs of a deal like this...

He (ho-hum... he's a psycho, remember) contacts his 'accountant' (or is it your cousin, Peter?), who suggests I get a 'backup' to GUARANTEE the $18k in 12 months (If it were that easy, I'd just borrow the $18k from them, and pay them back... I mean, they know me, right? BUT WHO HAS $18k LAYING AROUND!?) Well, I have a friend that said he'd be willing to back me, and be a 'fall guy' in case I didn't get the money in time... (remember I said a year was a rough estimate.) I told Peter this... and even offered to pay interest (I offered 10% at one point - bringing the total price to $19,800) And still... he ho-hums... says I've 'given him a headache' and is 'taking a week off to wait for the accountant to get back in town'... I wait a week... I notify him that my attorney would sign a guarantee saying that I *WILL* be getting a large settlement... but can't/won't guarantee the exact time frame (when's the last time you had the legal system move with a fluid motion in your favor?)...

All the while, I try to get pictures of the car, try to get someone to go look at the car (he keeps refusing)...

So, needless to say... he backed out (remember, I was skeptical!). One excuse after another... this guy really doesn't want to get rid of his car, he just wants to flex his e-peen because he has a low-mileage, supercharged Marauder and "na na na! YOU DON'T!"

Save your time, effort, and money... this guy isn't worth it...
As nice as it would be to get a 7 year old car with 17,000 miles on it, is it worth it knowing that the car sits in a garage, is barely ever driven (which means all of the fluids in the car are also sitting, stagnating...), and when it IS driven, it's either by an old woman, or a crazy guy that removes hoses from under the hood of his car (he doesn't even know WTF he is doing!) for poops and ha-has?

I want to thank another concerned user for giving me links to this guy's previous posts... you know who you are! ;) You've helped me see that this guy just really isn't worth dealing with... And I hope that the rest of the community here can see this now.

Oh, and Peter... if you were considering re-re-reconsidering dealing with me... forget it...

You want to know what's funny?

My Aunt would have loaned me the money sooner if it looked like it was going to be necessary... And I'm talking 3-6 months... Anyone want to sell a car in 3-6 months? Send me a PM!

And another thing... This basket case was posting threads saying his car was for sale while we were in negotiations... Two or three times he posted "my car is for sale, just send me a PM for more information" while we were talking... I even confronted him, and he said "I promised you the car, so you have dibs, I won't sell it to anyone else while you are interested". This thread is a perfect example...

I implore you guys - go elsewhere, deal with a sane seller, and get a car that wasn't owned by a psychopath.
