OK guys, I'm baffled! I just got called a phony! I'm driving the MM to work and notice some older guy in a mercury sable following me. When I finally get to a light, he makes a point of pulling up to me and says "You're a phony dude!". ??? Uhhhhh.... Is he jealous, doesn't know what a MM is, notices that it doesn't sound stock??? Anyone? (And of course I'm keeping all original parts)

OP, I got almost the same thing yesterday. A older man pulled up in his newer silver Camry and told me that I should have left the poor Grand Marquis alone. I was in my 03 SB Marauder. Out of respect to my elders, I did not respond.

Allright... Big let down... The performance shop brought my MM back. They can't do it. The owner personally apologized a dozen times. I told him it happens, don't worry, I have other avenues. Turns out he deals mostly with Mustangs and hasn't updated his software from SCT for the other groups of ford vehicles. They told him $10,000 bucks for what he nedds!!! He has to do the upgrades once a year! wow! Sooooo.... Just ordered the Lidio SCT. Won't be here til next week (he had a run on them!) so this Sat at NE Dragway will be JLT CAI, no seconday cats, no tune... :bigcry: Ah well! I'll get a before and after at some point here and then go for a Procharger...

The only thing I would have done is SMOKED him.

I had some kids pull up next to me and were laughing and pointing at my car. I rolled the window down just to ask what was so funny but they would not talk. When the light turned green I just took off and left em' leaving some burnt rubber on their windshield. They pulled up to me at the next light and gave me :2thumbs:. The look on their face was priceless.
