I finally disassembled the engine I killed at SSHS7. The oil pump gears had shattered, spun all 8 rod bearings and locked up the engine. The mains are good, pistons are good, rods are good (at least as good as stock ones can be). Going up for sale, not sure if I can sell it all together or if I should part it out. I'm thinking along these lines:

Valve Covers (with installation bolts): SOLD
Timing Cover (with installation bolts): Was spoken for but he backed out...
Heads (complete with gears, chains, tensioners, guides, bolts): SOLD on ebay
Bottom End (block, rods, pistons, bad crank, rear seal holder, oil pan, bolts): Maybe $250 ??

This whole thing could be put back together with a good crank (Rich!) and a new oil pump and gasket set. It would be ideal for a block & heads to put a forged rotating assembly in and port the heads for a built engine to have ready for a drop-in replacement.

The covers could be powdercoated and prepped for a quick swap instead of disassembling, sending out for coating, waiting, then re-installing.

Anybody interested?

I just bought some 4valve heads and let me tell you this is a good deal,the chains alone are half that number.

I'll probably put them on ebay this weekend unless somebody here comes through.

Did the valve covers sell? I painted my spare upper intake with wrinkle black, and now I'm addicted to it :lol:
