I put the Eibachs on and either they are really stiff or this thing is hitting the bump stops. Anyone else have this issue?

It's important to keep in mind that you just replaced your stock springs with a set of performance springs. Of course they're going to be stiffer. That's what you wanted, right?

Also, keep in mind that springs do not operate out there all on their own. You need to match damper (shock) rate with spring rate. I found that the stock shocks sucked with the Eibachs. Or the Eibachs sucked with the stock shocks, however you want to look at it. Either way, they were not a good match. I switched to KYB Gas-A-Just shocks (both front and rear) and the combination is great.

But again, if you're looking for TownCar ride then I think you went with the wrong spring.

PS. Mine does not bottom out on the bump stops and it rides pretty low.

I've been running them for years now and I never "hit the bump stops" I dunno how you are even hitting the bump stops with a stiffer spring. That being said, maybe your shocks need to be changed? I've had 0 problems with the springs, they are certainly stiffer... but that's kinda the point

I'm unclear, are these all-around springs or just the front?

I realize that they are a performance spring and they are stiffer. 20 years ago I would not have cared about the ride but I just wanted to lower it:(
Anyone want to trade for some stock one's that I can cut and maintain a decent ride:D

just the front... back is air suspension...

Yes they are really stiff. Search out smooth pavement.

Eibach Marauders...think Corvette suspension...old Corvette 1970s suspension...

I say add control arms and sway bars and suspension reinforcement, but treat the shocks and springs like a Town Car Limousine.

Too soft, in my opinion, but hey, that's part of the hobby, setting up our cars' suspensions the way we want them.

I put on the Eibachs looking for a slightly stiffer ride and lowering the front end a bit. With the stock worn shocks (mine had a tad over 100K miles at the time) it bounced like crazy. I bought the KYB gas adjusts and it matched up well with the Eibachs. I do like the softer ride the stock set up has in the city but I've driven both in the canyons above LA (also a lot on the open highway) and much prefer the stiffer ride. It's a personal preference thing so to each their own.

I bought my Eibach springs for $50.00 and the car bounces like a ping pong ball. It looks good but the ride suxs.
