Not a problem. Something I just thought, though. Do you want a U.S. $ draft, or $90 CDN and have it work the exchange when you deposit it? Let me know

Got mine today also, thanks Martin.
Now a question for paint experts, what is the best way to take off the old fender badges that have flaked out without hurting the paint? Hot air hair dryer? The 3M double sided tape was used on the old ones.
Got mine today... they look amazing!
Does anyone have a nice picture that's not at an angle of them on the car. I'm trying to figure out exactly where to put them.
Also, any tips on how to get them on there straight? Every time I try and do something with 3M tape it always ends up being just a bit crooked and then annoys me.

There is no hard and fast placement guide. Use your judgment on what looks good.
Lay out the location with blue or green painters tape and use that as a guide for getting them straight -- a bullet level may be helpful.

You can search for the "how to" on removing the trunk lid badge.
This involved the hair dryer/fishing line method. It works.
Auto body work/paint supply stores have the solvent to remove the double sided tape but I have never used it.
WD40/Bug & Tar remover works on any residue left over after removal.

Yes I would like to know what kind of prep work is involved. I read in another thread that Clear Coat would need to be applied? Can I get clear coat and the 3M adhesive at Advance Auto or something?

Clear coat may be advisable IF the car sees alot of weather AND minimal cleaning/waxing.
Clear Coat & double sided 3M tape is available at the local parts store.

I highly recommend the clear coat. I just clear coated my new set and that is because my old set turned out like this (below). My car is impeccably cared for - washed and waxed regularly.
The badges will fade over time. I have not scrubbed these down with rubbing compound yet to see if this can be fixed, but spraying them 3-4 thin coats in the span of an hour before putting them on the car is a LOT easier than dealing with taking them off, cleaning/refurbishing them and putting them back on.
These badges are an original set whenever they were released - 5 years?? Not sure.

Well, now I don't feel so bad about neglecting my car. Mine wound up the same way! Same vintage - I think it was the second run of badges.
I just spent the afternoon clear coating the new ones as well. Installation tomorrow then to find out what it will take to restore the original set.

Ok, thanks for the info. I think I saw a picture of another members badges in another thread and they were all rusted. But you make a valid point. It's easier to do it now than to wait later..
