1.Anybody running spark plugs -- other -- than the NGK-TR6? If so what is the brand and the vendor number ie... NGK-TR6. And how do they hold up to boost as well as everyday driving? Your thoughts and opinions count here. So please feel free to post. I am going to put some new ones in Sat AM, and will go with the most informed majority.
2.Any thoughts on anti-sieze..yes..no... don't know???
I feel a part throttle miss so will go for the cheap, easy fix first...
3. Although its got 68,000 miles on the original cops. I think those are the culprit. And only 6,000 on a set of Motorcraft plugs.
Anybody running with something -- other -- than the Motorcraft or Granatelli cops? Just seeing what else is out there. I have heard of "Lethal Performance" and they are selling some "Weapon X" cops but heard that a person needs to reverse the polarity to make them work on our MM's...True, False--- don't know. Comments pro or con......
Thanks

We run NGK BR7EF's. Can't say much more about them for long term. They get changed out often from seeing 18psi and NAWS:D. They are one range colder than the tr6's

Merc may be able to comment more on them for daily driving. But they seem fine.

Doubt you'll find them locally, we order from summit.

I run the same plug as above, I'm moving to TR6 though, since I am not putting a lot of boost to the car. In theory a too cold a plug can lead to rough part throttle operation. Something to keep in mind/look into maybe

I see alot of guys on here go either way on the subject. I'm more afraid of blow out than not getting them out I guess.

I run whats asked for by trilogy for plugs in my ride. I bought the weapon x coils and just swapped them out with the stock coils they fit real snug so if you get them make sure they are all the way down in the hole. As for how I like them yes i do like them noticed a better idle got rid of my rough idle all together. Definatly a improvement just judging by the seat of the pants feel. I would not go back to stock. so far have about 6000 miles on them no issues. Also got a little better gas mileage as well. Not sure for the N/A cars though. Get them if you can afford them they work in my opinion. These are the ones I got just for referance.

Thanks blackhuey::D They say this is a true coil on plug instead of the coil 'near' plug that we currantly have. How snug is it? Would you mind posting some pictures not just for me but for the MM community as well? My thoughts are if it is as much of an improvement as you say why not, as the prices are close to what you would pay for stock coils. Do they have that familiar click as the regular coils when they are pressed into place?
Thanks for your input:bows::beer:

By the way what other mods have you done to you MM?:eek:

Well I got my spark plugs (NGK-TR6) in. And man what an improvement:banana2:. No more miss, and no more slight hesitation. I took the car for a brief spin. I live out in the middle of nowhere and on a new wide blacktop hiway. went for 4 miles and got her good and warmed up turned around stopped then briefly hammered it and Oh My Goodness. Just what I was hoping for. Tremendous G forces. . Then I slowed down took the overdrive off and did a part throttle acceleration and 'no' misses:D just
smooth acceleration there was just one problem, as I was decelerating around a big gentle curve I saw a Texas Finest coming at me the other way. Instant heartattack. He just waved at me and continued on his merry way. Whew !!!!!!!!!:eek: He knows me and my car. He likes my car. I'm thankful. Anyway I actually solved one problem myself. Usually when I work on this car everything I touch turns to Doggey doo. Thanks everyone for your input

Amazing what a simple tune up can do, especially on cars w/distributors and wires.

Yes they click just like the old school spark plug wires. Not to snug can slide it in with one hand I used a little boot grease on the sides of the coils as well just extra protection. I will try and get some pics tommoro if the weathers better. as for other mods besides the trilogy all I really have is a JLT intake.
