Very common.....frequency locking circuit goes bad.....have it repaired or go aftermarket!!:shake:
Dealer can send it of or you can call United Radio at 800-448-0944....they have a flat rate and 1 year guarantee on their work.
Good Luck!!

+1... what he said. IMHO, go aftermarket.

Kenwood DPX-503 for the win. Fits perfectly snug and looks a bit more OEM than a flat-screen radio unit.

That head unit looks like garbage... Orange LCD screen?
If you're going to go aftermarket, go with JVC Arsenal KW NT1, Double DIN, nice screen, DVD Playback, navigation... Or, for $100 more, go with KW-NX7000BT - full touchscreen...
Pioneer is another good choice, I've never been disappointed with their head units...
Sure, these brands are kinda pricey... but, you get what you pay for!

thanks for all your replies to this problem. one more question, I assume I have to remove the radio myself & send it out to be repaired or to replace with aftermarket. If I have to remove it myself , is it a difficult job. thanks again to all.

Actually, it has 7 colors to choose from, and you can even adjust the colors for individual parts of the head unit, like say the knobs glow red and the screen glows green.
I'll have to take a picture of mine this evening and post it up, honestly it looks fantastic at night with the green lighting cause it matches all the gauges flawlessly.
Best part: I payed roughly $225 for that head unit, and it's about 10 times better than OE, still sounds just as good as those $800-$1000 touch panels.
