Okay I was driving my MM the other day and my A/C and Heat blower just stopped working. The controls light up and it says the temp and all but nothing comes out on both the A/C and heat. Now its been hot here in Jersey this weekend and this is killing me. I checked the fuses and they are good. Anyone have a similar problem or any ideas?

Try wiggling the electrical connection under the hood at the blower motor.

Does anyone think is could be the actual blower motor itself? I just want to find out whether the blower going bad is a common issue.

I think it has been the BCM 100% of the time...but I could be wrong??
Easy to test the blower....just unplug it and jump it directly to your battery (polarity doesn't matter)....it will run on HIGH so don't let it scare ya!!

Is the dealership the only place wear the BCM can be bought?

The Blower control module (BCM) is what automatically controls the Fan speed. Mine went out this spring (2009). My first repair (accept fluid changes) on the MM. There are two or more threads on the replacement of it. It costs about $65 at the dealer and takes 1/2 hour to 2 hours to replace depending on your mechanical experience. See my posts on this or PM me if you are going to do this yourself and want more info.

I just finished replacing my BCM. I'm not sure if that is the problem by looking as the old circuit board, nothing looked burned out on the old one. I'm about to put it back together and I'll let you know if that was it. If not I guess next weekend I'll be replacing the blower motor itself:(

The large transistor gets too hot and dies!!
Mine didn't show any real signs it was bad....it was just bad!!:shake:
Good Luck!!

Well, I guess I'll try this since the blower motor isn't bad. (went to the flaps today, borrowed a blower motor, and it didn't work either.)

I think I am having a blower problem with my heat. I have burped the system, no good. All hoses going to the heater core are hot at op temp. Does the blower have fins that control if cold or hot air is entered into the cabin? If so, is there a relay that controls the blower from ac to heat.
My AC is good. I have no heat though. Thanks
