Hello again folks, I'm just a fount of never-ending questions, aren't I?
This is off-topic insomuch that it's not Marauder related, but, since there are a bunch of folks that have Grand Marquis, I figured this would be a safe place to ask!
I just purchased a 1995 Grand Marquis LS, power *everything* (Even has OBD II), electronic instrument cluster/gauges, keyless entry, the works! Was only $900! Runs and drives like a dream!
The only issue is the fact that the guy I bought it from couldn't find the key fobs, which means I need to get my hands on one and program it.
The question I have is: "How does one program key fobs in a 1995 Grand Marquis?"

Per Ford's words:
"Enter 5-digit permanent entry code into the keyless entry keypad. Within 5 seconds of pressing last button of code, press the 1/2 button. All doors will lock then unlock to confirm programming mode. Press any button on 1st transmitter within 5 seconds of pressing the 1/2 button. Locks will cycle to indicate successful programming. Press any button on 2nd transmitter (up to 4 transmitters total possible) within 5 seconds of previous transmitter. (If the keypad light goes out before all transmitters are programmed, the entire process must be repeated.) Press the 7/8 and 9/0 buttons simultaneously on keypad to exit program mode."
Have fun.
BTW, any pics of the new beast?

Hmmm, that didn't seem to work, the key fob that I have is for a ford windstar minivan... might that have something to do with it?
Also, I'm waiting for a decent day to get pictures, it's been miserably hot and humid up here for the past week, and I hate it!

The remote that you need for your '95 GM is 3W7Z.15K601.AA. They list for $33.49 but you can get it for less than that with shipping through Ray "The Dealer".

I also think the way to program it is different....I will check and let you know if you are still having trouble.

The instructions that RoyLPita posted don't produce the 'lock/unlock cycle' when I press 1/2 after entering my 5-digit code. I don't have a remote just yet to try, though.

The instructions that I supplied apply only to 95-97 style GM, CV and TC. I know it works because I had to program a remote for my 97 Town Car.
The MM programming is much different.
