Do you have a Marauder in England? That picture doesn't look like it's from the UK, there's no rain! :D

Hi CBT

Is that right? Why you over there?

Because unfortunately I live on this miserable island.

Hi 252life

I will have a Marauder in England when I ship it later in the year, it will go with my Town Car and Excursion.

I had my 86 Mustang GT "cobra" over in England in the 90's. It was a blast.

Except for the parkades (I had salad tongs to reach or put the ticket into the ticket machine) and the occasional road that was too narrow.

The weather is a bit of a downer after the first month and for another couple years but once you get out of the rainy parts it isn't too bad.

Parking a Marauder would be a pain, the spots are so small. I parked in a spot at a train station once, with my English Toyota, and when I got back the cars next to me were so close I couldn't get out of the spot, without hitting them. I ended up backing into a few bushes and up a little hill before I managed to edge my way out a few inches at a time. Took about 20 minutes. Learned to back into spots after that and just parked way down away from the platform.

I ended up with my Toyota which was a great car and the least desireable car to be stolen. Made leaving it places easier than any other car. Lots of car crime and vandalism. Not sure about a Marauder as they don't steal them for parts but joy rides were very common.

Parkades in London are crazy tight though, but if you have a Towncar you must already know this. How much is insurance going to hit you for a Marauder in Blighty?

I would have had to pay $7000 a year for my Mustang in 1993, for comprehensive. 3rd part fire and theft was still $2000 a year which was about 4x what i paid back home.
